I interviewed a management trainee from ABB (I think this is also one of the most anticipated positions). I have no experience in other positions, so I only introduce the interview process of trainees.
After passing the written test, there will be one side, that is, at this stage, the interviewers are all colleagues in the company's human resources, so they rarely ask you professional things (I think the same is true for other positions), and mainly learn about your personal qualities through some questions and answers and chats (although it may not be comprehensive), which requires every applicant to be calm, not nervous, and to face the examiner calmly and confidently. When asking you some specific qualities or experiences, you'd better explain them by some real small examples, such as what lessons or gains you have gained from participating in a student activity organization or a training or competition. You should use a vivid example to explain why you say so. This example is credible and logical. There should be some English questions and answers on one side. Look at your English communication skills. I have repeatedly stressed to my brothers and sisters that we are not English majors. Maybe our English is not particularly fluent and accurate, but your English must be fluent. Don't talk in English for five minutes, and you ask for repetition in saying sorry to the three of them, so the interviewer must be unhappy. However, the allowed words are not very accurate and occasionally pause. I also asked the examiner how to say a word in English during the interview, and he answered quickly. Therefore, it is mainly a comprehensive quality inspection based on conversation, and the inspection of English expression ability and communication ability, without any special preparation. But remember, don't lie and brag. Students can't escape the interviewer's eyes.
After approval, you will be allowed to participate in the group discussion. Group discussion is based on the discussion of a scheme. I participated in the design and planning of a factory scheme the year before last, and it should be different every year. Give the group some time (about 40 minutes) to familiarize themselves with the conditions and constraints of the scheme, and then have some time to discuss. Several examiners just sat there without talking and observed everyone's performance. The examiner hopes that you can come up with a reasonable plan within this given time. In the process of achieving this result, the examiner will carefully observe the performance of everyone in the group. Compared with the results of group discussion, the examiner pays more attention to observing everyone's performance in the process. Everyone should express himself clearly, think quickly and speak his mind logically.
People who enter this step should have strong expressive ability. What makes them different is your leadership. Leadership doesn't mean that you talk endlessly about your ideas and don't give others a chance to speak. It is to guide everyone to move in the right direction in a limited time and finally get the right solution. This requires reasonable control of time. If most people are struggling with a certain detail, you should stand up and let everyone get over it, when everyone has differences on a certain point of view. Of course, everyone wants to show leadership to guide others, so some people will be more "arrogant" and "impatient", which should be overcome.
In short, speak moderately, neither too much nor too little. Too much means that you have no team spirit to suppress others, and too little means that you have no ideas and no leadership. In addition to expressing your own ideas, it is best to show that you are good at guiding.
There will be an English speech after the group discussion, which depends on the individual's cultivation skills. Finally, don't be nervous, pay attention to your own demands and look at the examiner with a smile and confidence.
After the English speech is over, both parties will be over, and the notice time from both parties to the three parties will be longer. In the middle, ABB may send a job-oriented test question to the double-sided passer, which will be provided by a professional consulting company (we had it then, I don't know if it will be this year), and then we will wait. Both sides will do well. Be patient. After all, a good opportunity has to go through some waiting pains.
The third meeting will be held in Beijing, where ABB's senior managers will be interviewed, probably foreign managers, and English is essential. Still chatting, there is no exam, mainly the evaluation of comprehensive quality, and few people will enter the three parties, because it is very close to the final employment result.
In the whole interview process, my biggest advice is to be natural, confident, calm and frank, so that you can perform better and make the interviewer like you. After all, the interview is a process of selecting candidates. If the interviewer likes you, you will get extra points. Don't be so nervous and sensitive that no one will like you because you want this job so badly. Remember, there is no job that suits you best. Naturally, you are suitable for any job. Relax, you will go further. For interviewers in other positions, this article is also applicable.
The above is my introduction and suggestions. I'm at work and I'm in a hurry. There may be many omissions, but that's all. My IP is off campus, so I can't send articles, so I can only entrust my classmates to send them, so it's useless to write to him in the station, so I can't see it. Starting from Wednesday, I will go to ABB's engineering site for a long time on business, so it is not convenient to receive emails, so it may be inconvenient to reply to your emails. Please forgive me, but I will definitely reply to the email seriously when I have the opportunity. So far, at least I have done so.
