Candidates who meet the exemption conditions will only take the exams of Project Decision Analysis and Evaluation and Modern Consulting Method and Practice. The assessment results are managed in a rolling way, with a period of two years. Candidates can obtain the professional qualification certificate of consulting engineer (investment) by passing the subject examination for two consecutive examination years.

First, the "main finisher" of the award-winning project mentioned in Item (1) of Article 6 of the Implementation Measures refers to the person who is included in the national excellent engineering design and excellent engineering survey gold and silver selected by China Engineering Consulting Association and attached with the award certificate or award list.

The above-mentioned personnel can be exempted from taking part in some subjects and only take the exams of "Project Decision Analysis and Evaluation" and "Modern Consulting Method and Practice".

2. The "qualification certificate of engineering technology" mentioned in Item (2) of Article 6 of the Implementation Measures refers to the qualification certificate of engineering technology established by Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security in conjunction with relevant competent departments, including: first-class architect, first-class constructor, electrical engineer, first-class structural engineer, urban planner, cost engineer, supervision engineer, equipment supervisor, tenderer and investment construction project manager.

Those who have obtained the above qualification certificate and have been engaged in engineering consulting business for 8 years can be exempted from taking part in some subjects and only take the exams of "Project Decision Analysis and Evaluation" and "Modern Consulting Methods and Practices".
