The training lasts for four to six years and is conducted in two stages.

The first stage: two to three years of training in two disciplines, regular participation in clinical medical work in major departments and related departments of this discipline, strict basic training in clinical work, and learning relevant professional theoretical knowledge. Residents should implement the responsibility system of hospitalization. After completing the first stage of training, residents will be assessed by the training base, and those who pass the assessment can enter the second stage of training.
