Low-end training gave way to high-end training, and training programs gradually increased. All the technologies and skills needed by the IT industry can be found in training institutions.
The training content has been increasing, from the earliest Microsoft certification of 1997 and 1998 to the later Cisco training, and now IT has covered all aspects of the IT field, including Microsoft operating system, TURBOLINUX, Red Flag LINUX, SCOUINX, Cisco network, CIW and 3COM. Servers are IBM, SUN, HP, databases are ORACLE, SYBASE, art design is ADOBE, MACROMEDIA and so on. , can fully meet the needs of most users.
Market demand is the basis for the survival of training institutions. Looking at many training institutions, more than 2/3 of them are IT vendors' certification training, and the remaining companies, such as Great Wall and Golden Century, which were originally engaged in integrated business of office software and graphic design, began to gradually increase some certification-related contents.
At the same time, there are some problems. Take certification training as an example. At present, domestic companies that carry out certification training generally need authorization from manufacturers, and this authorization has certain requirements for the qualifications of training units, not only in terms of funds and space, but also in terms of training strength.
However, when reading newspaper advertisements, many training units claim to be "XX Certification Training Center", and even solemnly put the manufacturer's logo on advertisements and promotional materials. On the other hand, the quality of some training centers is worrying. The reporter once worked in the training circle for a period of time and found that the teachers in many training units turned out to be students who had just passed the certification examination. Such a teacher can teach exam-taking skills at most, rather than systematic theory and practical experience. I believe that most of the students in this training class are "thesis" experts.
Chain operation has become the mainstream.
On the premise of their own development, large-scale training institutions began to step out of geographical restrictions, expand outward, and actively develop national franchise chain stores. The prominent one in this respect is the Galaxy Network Education Center. Starting from 1998, Galaxy began to introduce the concept of franchising into the field of IT training, developed chain stores, and held two annual brand promotion conferences in succession. So far, it has developed more than 30 branches. Others who have already done so include ChinaSoft, Ruitong Peking University and Shenzhen Saibaiwei. They are mainly looking for some powerful IT institutions to cooperate with them and use the company's brand. The training contents and processes of local training branches are consistent with those of the headquarters.
In addition, a considerable number of large companies are also sharpening their swords and preparing to intervene in this new high-profit market.
Price fluctuation of foreign capital rushing to attack
Foreign educational and training institutions have rushed to China. In 2000, the Indian company APTECH cooperated with Beida Jade Bird Group to establish Beijing ABOTEC Beida Jade Bird Information Technology Co., Ltd., and * * * jointly explored the computer vocational education market in China. NIT, which has entered China, is also secretly deployed in the whole country, competing with APTECH, a jade bird of Peking University, for the IT training market in China. NIIT is the second largest software company in India after Infosys, and its information technology education, software development and multimedia products are among the best. At present, the company has established more than 2,000 colleges in nearly 30 countries, trained 500,000 students every year, owned nearly 300 kinds of self-developed educational software, and formed strategic partnerships with many IT vendors, striving to become a global leader in information technology education. The company entered China three years ago, and the localization of most teaching materials has been completed. Their strategy is not Microsoft's and cisco certified's, but to set up courses for their own products, but to cultivate technical talents for the whole IT industry. Similarly, at present, some foreign companies are training in China, such as Enlightenment Consulting and TP. They have rich experience in IT education and a complete management system, so they are also very influential in the industry.
In the past two years, I have seen a lot of price wars between color TVs and computers. Unexpectedly, the price war in the IT training market has been rolling in. People who are concerned about the situation can find that in 1998 or even in 2000, it took more than 3,000 yuan to train a MCSELINKCI, not including the examination fee. Now the training fees of some units have been reduced to 1000 yuan. The training of CCNA cost more than 3,000 yuan when it first came out, and now a training unit in Tianjin has dropped to an amazing 800 yuan. As we all know, the examination fee for certification training is stipulated by the manufacturer and must be paid to the manufacturer in a certain proportion. This part of the cost can't be saved. To reduce the price, we can only make a fuss about the training fee, and the training fee will be reduced. The following problems are the decline of teachers' quality and the shortening of training time. The original full-time certified lecturer is becoming a part-time teacher, and the original four-week training is now "crash" to two weeks.
"Domestic" certification emerges one after another.
As domestic IT enterprises gradually master some core technologies, some domestic manufacturers begin to introduce "domestic" technology certification. At the beginning of 2000, the network system integration engineer who cooperated with Lenovo Integration and D-LINK was pushed to the market, but due to the problem of product promotion, it has not been taken seriously. In the second half of 2000, the domestic red flag link came out, and at the same time, it also brought out their link training and handed it over to the federal education. It was not satisfactory at first, but with the growth of the product, the training has also gained considerable gains. In March, 20001,Huawei launched its network technology certification system, which is similar to cisco certified in structure. In August, after full preparation, Huawei handed over the certified test questions and systems to PROMETRIC, the world's largest computerized education examination institution, and thus entered the ranks of formal manufacturer training certification.
Corporate customers are heating up.
As far as the training targets are concerned, the early training targets are mainly individuals, and enterprise users account for a minority. However, with the development of high-end training, the training targets have also changed. It is understood that a medium-sized training institution has about 1 0,000 person-times of training every month, of which enterprise users account for13. High-end training enterprises account for a larger proportion of customers. Like the Huawei training mentioned above, 90% are distributors and integrated users.
This also brings a new term-"customized training service". According to the actual needs of major customers, training institutions make training programs and give targeted lectures. Moreover, this kind of training is not a fixed single training, but often comprehensive and will be a lot of content.
Secondly, the composition of training institutions is also changing. Now many training institutions have the background of network or system integration, such as Shen Lan Training in Beijing, Wanbo in Tsinghua and fusco in Shenzhen. The most typical is the Digital China Training Center. Because I distribute Cisco network products and have my own integrated business, I have done training for IBM, Cisco and Oracle Bone Inscriptions, largely to provide value-added and technical support services for my products. In addition, some enterprises with training experience but not related to IT are also involved, such as New Oriental and Wang Fu Training. The former is famous for English training for studying abroad, and the latter was originally a well-known overseas consulting company.
