Young and middle-aged teachers under the age of 35 were given continuing education and training with modern educational concepts, modern educational technologies and modern teaching methods as the main contents, and teachers were encouraged to actively use computer-based multimedia teaching technologies and means.
In classroom teaching, a team of high-quality teachers with innovative spirit, practical ability, both ability and political integrity, excellent quality, sufficient quantity, reasonable structure, relative stability and vitality has been initially formed to meet the needs of the teaching reform and development of normal education in the 2 1 century. In order to meet the needs of the reform and development of basic education, the school attaches great importance to the adjustment and optimization of the professional structure, actively explores the "3+2" segmented school-running model, and strengthens the reform on the basis of running the original four majors of normal, kindergarten, music and art. In 2000, we jointly set up a primary education teacher class with tianshui normal university, and in 20001,we jointly run schools with Northwest Normal University and tianshui normal university.
University courses in English, computer, information technology education and music have been offered, and art college courses will be added in 2002. There will be 10 majors at the two levels of junior college and normal college, and the structure will be improved day by day, which will create good conditions for the five-year compulsory primary education professional classes in normal colleges and the further development of college teachers. At the same time, starting from changing the teaching concept, taking teaching and research as the guide, taking improving the quality of classroom teaching as the breakthrough, focusing on quality education, strictly implementing the new curriculum plan of normal schools, scientifically constructing a curriculum system that organically combines compulsory courses, elective courses, activity courses and practical courses, and developing a four-in-one system.
The overall educational function and all-round development of quality education have strengthened the central position of teaching work, rapidly improved the quality of education and teaching, and successfully completed all the work, which has enabled the school to realize institutionalized management, scientific teaching, standardized professional structure, targeted teacher training and civilized campus environment.
