General steps of pet grooming

Pet grooming refers to adding aesthetic feeling through top-grade beauty products, exquisite pruning techniques and dyeing stimulation, covering up the lack of body shape for pets and adding aesthetic feeling, so as to achieve the effect of making dogs and owners happy physically and mentally. The following are the general beauty steps of pet grooming that I shared. Let's have a look.

1. Brush

Objective: Brush off dead hair and knots on the puppy to make its fur look smooth, tidy and shiny.

Method: From the foot, from top to bottom, from beginning to end, you must comb your hair backwards and then follow it, because this will untie most knots.

2, combing:

Tools: steel comb, also known as beauty comb and steel row comb, is characterized by wide sides and narrow sides.

Objective: to comb the summary that can't be combed by needle comb. Because if you don't comb the dog's hair knots thoroughly before taking a shower, they will be more difficult to comb after taking a shower.

Method: First comb with the side with wide teeth, which can untie the joints deeper, but with less force, so it is easy to break the hair. After combing, comb it straight with narrow teeth.

Step 3 take a bath:

After finishing some preparatory work, you can give the dog a bath. The time to bathe your dog depends on the type of local dog and the length of its hair. Generally speaking, long-haired dogs usually take a bath once a week and short-haired dogs take a bath once every half a month. You must pay attention to the control of water temperature when bathing dogs. Even in winter, the water temperature should not be too high. Generally, the water temperature should be controlled between 35 and 45 degrees, and the temperature can be raised appropriately in winter. Prevent water from entering the dog's ears when taking a bath, otherwise it will cause ear diseases.

4. Clean eyes and ears:

Dogs' eyes and ears are most prone to ear diseases, so they should be cleaned regularly to prevent diseases.

The general method of cleaning ears is: first, sprinkle ear-pulling powder on the ears, and use hemostatic forceps to pull the hair out of the ears, being careful not to catch the dog. Then apply the ear washing liquid on a cotton swab or drop a drop in the ear to clean the inside and outside of the ear. Eye care is relatively simple, as long as you drop some eye drops regularly, you can prevent eye diseases. If the lacrimal gland is heavy, eye-specific drugs are needed.

5, drying:

After bathing the dog, use a towel with strong water absorption to absorb excess water from the dog, and then blow dry the hair with a hair dryer. When drying with a hair dryer, don't blow it too hot and too dense, it will burn your skin without being noticed. And you can comb your hair while blowing, which is called "napping", so that the blown hair is natural, fluffy and beautiful.

6, nail repair:

Too long nails will make it difficult for dogs to walk, and at the same time, it will cause some problems such as bad walking posture because of bone deformation. Sometimes it's even difficult to walk because the nails are too long and puncture the foot pads. So for the puppy's nails. We must trim it regularly.

At that time, nail repair was relatively simple, just cut along the blood vessels, not too hard, because it would be easy to hurt, generally based on the principle of not cutting blood vessels and bleeding. Moreover, it is best to get into the habit from an early age, generally taking cutting once every 2-3 weeks as the standard to avoid making the toenails too thick because the blood vessels are too long.

7. Trimming of basic hair: This is mainly aimed at trimming the hair in some places that are easily overlooked.

Hair on the soles of your feet: if you don't shave the hair on your feet, pets will easily slip and fall when running indoors.

Belly hair: The length of belly hair and leg hair will affect walking or get dirty easily.

Hair around the anus: If the butt hair is too long, it will affect defecation and make the excrement stick.
