China's population census has been conducted only once in the past ten years. This census is the sixth national census in China, and the national financial input is nearly 8 billion. I took part in the census when I went home this holiday. Since my mother is a street census worker, I can take this opportunity to help my mother with the household census and help me make records. This practice has benefited me a lot, not only increasing my ability to investigate society, but also increasing my understanding of society and learning a lot of social skills.
Social practice time: July 20th, 2065438 +00 ~ August 9th, 2065438+00.
Social Practice Location: Jiaochang Community, Guangnei Street, New Xicheng, Beijing
Social practice content: conduct a household survey in this area.
Detailed introduction of the sixth population census;
With the approval of the State Council, the sixth national census will be conducted at 0: 20 1011on October 20th. The main purpose of this census is to find out the changes of China's population in terms of quantity, structure, distribution and living environment in recent ten years, and to provide scientific and accurate statistical information support for implementing the strategy of sustainable development and building a harmonious socialist society. lustrum
Mainly investigate the basic situation of population and households, including: gender, age, nationality, education level, industry, occupation, migration and mobility, social security, marriage and childbirth, death, housing, etc.
At the press conference for Chinese and foreign journalists held by the Municipal Census Office, Gu Yanzhou, deputy director of the Beijing Sixth Census Leading Group Office, said that the census was "drawing maps, making rounds and counting the population". Drawing a map is to divide the administrative area of Beijing into more than 80 thousand blocks, and then put the investigators in charge of each block. The purpose of checking the house is to
Find all the buildings in more than 80 thousand blocks. The last one is based on the housing survey.
Different from the past, before this year's census, we will first find out the details of 2.8 million to 3 million houses in Beijing, including the building age and whether the building structure is reinforced concrete, steel frame or brick-wood structure. The results of the census will be reported to the Municipal Housing Construction Committee, which will grade the houses according to these indicators, and then carry out seismic reinforcement in batches according to the relevant grades.
This census is also aimed at foreigners in China for the first time. It is a common practice in all countries to include foreigners living in their own countries in the census, and it is also a suggestion of the United Nations. Increasing the number of migrants as the census object is also to arrange the construction of education, housing, medical care and public facilities in the areas where migrants live more reasonably.
Gu Yanzhou said that in the previous census, the most difficult thing was the number of births and deaths in the past year. Because many babies are not registered, many dead people do not cancel their accounts. The main reasons why newborn babies are not registered are the second and third births, and they are afraid that they will be punished if they register. According to the data obtained by the statistics department from the Family Planning Unit, there were about four or five thousand newborns in Beijing in 2009, but the actual data may reach seven or eight thousand. The death of people who don't close their accounts is mostly related to interests, some for receiving relevant subsidies, and some because the property is not clearly defined.
According to past experience, household surveys will encounter three major difficulties. First, it is difficult for high-end residential areas to enter households; The second is the residential area of foreign population; Third, it is a concentrated area of large institutions and units. Gu Yanzhou said that the Municipal Bureau of Statistics will draw up a confidentiality agreement, one for all investigators, and will sign a confidentiality agreement with residents to keep the information of the respondents strictly confidential.
About the sixth population census plan
20 10 On June 24th, the National Bureau of Statistics and the Office of the Leading Group for the Sixth National Census of the State Council announced the sixth national census plan.
General survey principle
The census adopts the principle of registration according to the current residence, and everyone must register at the current residence; If the census object does not live in the domicile, the domicile shall register the corresponding information. The main contents of registration include: name, gender, age, nationality, nationality, education level, industry, occupation, migration and mobility, social security, marriage, birth, death, housing situation, etc.
Scheme requirements
The census registration starts from 20 10, 1 10, and ends at 1 10. The census was conducted by the way of on-the-spot inquiry by census takers. The applicant shall truthfully answer the inquiry of the enumerator, and shall not lie, conceal or refuse to report. The information provided by the census object shall be kept confidential according to law.
According to the plan, after the registration, a comprehensive review should be organized, and the review should be completed before 20101015. After the re-inspection is completed, the quality spot check shall be organized in a unified way, and the spot check shall be completed before the end of 20 10 1.
Complete the summary of all census data before 2011231. After the census data is processed, the original census form shall be destroyed as required. Census institutions at all levels should do a good job in the development and application of census data and provide inquiry and consulting services for the public.
China's population census is conducted once every ten years, and the standard time of the sixth national census is 20101:00, with the aim of finding out the changes of population, structure, distribution and living environment in China since 2000.
Specific conditions of social practice:
Before June or so, all the people involved in the census need to receive census training, and I just joined it as a volunteer. After receiving the training, several staff members began to divide the school community into several communities, so that it was convenient for everyone to conduct household surveys in groups. The work is quite simple. It is to give a big map of the school area, and then several staff members draw the community area, and finally decide to divide the whole school area into 38 small areas. Our whole census team has 19 official staff, so we decided to take charge of two districts by one person, and then began to make preliminary statistics on 38 districts.
First, we must get the household registration book about the campus from the local police station, and then our work. This household registration form is divided into 38 forms according to the residential address, which is convenient for everyone to conduct household surveys. These 38 tables include not only the permanent population here, but also the table of relocated households, which are divided separately. Of course, it is also convenient to enter the house. However, this table alone has been bothering us for a long time. Several of us made watches separately, and finally we mixed together. But there was a mistake in the middle. One of us made a mistake and made a lot of watches. Then we have to check one by one, and finally find out the people who forgot to add them and those who appear repeatedly in the form, which ensures the accuracy of this census.
Then there are various household surveys. Now is the household registration stage. The official population in the prospecting stage began at 1 1. Before entering the house, you should prepare the registration form, that is, according to the 38 forms prepared in advance, one by one, one by one, one by one, and the other according to the temporary population. If the survey results show that this person's household registration is here, he will live now. If the investigation results show that this person came to Beijing from other places, fill in the Temporary Population Form; If the survey results show that the person's household registration is not here but still lives here, or the household registration is here but no longer lives here, fill in the household separation form.
Although this job looks very simple, that is, entering a household to record it, we are often turned away, and many people are even more vulnerable to us. They were very uncooperative with our work, showed them their documents and refused to let us in. They think we are liars and insist on the door. There are many bungalows in this place we investigated, and most of them live in older men and women who are younger. It is understandable that we don't cooperate with our work. Catch up with the film policeman in charge of this place. He was injured recently, which made it more difficult for us to enter the house. However, it is gratifying that we have been recognized by most residents and they are also very cooperative. Actually, the process of entering the house won't delay you for five minutes. However, there is nothing we can do but wait for the next time, or ask the neighbors nearby to get a basic understanding of the situation.
There are also many special circumstances in the process of entering the household, which makes us more embarrassed:
Many households have been demolished and moved away, and they have to come back specially not to let us include them in the list of relocated households, but to include them in the list of relocated households. However, why bother them when they have already been demolished?
For many separated households who don't live here at all, we should include them in the household agreement when registering, so that they can be counted as one household when demolition, but this will lose the accuracy of the census. The superior leaders asked not to stagger the household registration book, but they wouldn't let us go until the household registration book was filled in. This is really difficult and really needs the support and mediation of the police.
There are still many people who hide their tenants, which may violate the relevant laws and regulations of the country, such as Super Life, because after talking to our neighbors, we found that many people are not on our list, but we can't find this person's account, which is really a very difficult thing.
There are also some families who live alone now, or are lonely old people. It is difficult to enter the door, and communication has become a problem. I don't know what's going on. What we are saying is that the old man's answer has nothing to do with what we asked, or he doesn't make any answer. It is really helpless.
There are many tenants, and we can't find them. It is even fresher to ask the neighbors. I have never seen this man before. It's really depressing
There are many more here, so I won't list them one by one.
However, despite the difficulties, our work is generally smooth. Every time, I basically follow my mother to conduct a household survey at night, although it takes only a few hours from dusk to evening. I felt very tired when I came back. Because school is about to start, I didn't take part in the later domestic work, but according to my mother, the later meeting will be smoother and there will be many people living in the building, which is convenient for registration and statistics.
Experience of practical activities: The census seems really easy. Although there is no hard-working experience, no exposure troubles, and no time conflict, I am really tired. No matter how you feel or the external environment, you will feel that this job is really tiring. Coupled with the work-related injuries of the police here, it is difficult to enter the home. Of course, it is gratifying to meet many enthusiastic households, and the whole process of entering the home is progressing smoothly! I have just walked through many homes over there, and occasionally I feel uncomfortable, happy and all kinds of feelings.
Summary of practical activities: Through this practical activity, I personally felt the hardships of being a social investigator, not only in the census, but also in various social surveys. It is really difficult to get accurate and practical data, because there are various factors in society that prevent our investigation. But because of this, we must learn to overcome these hardships and try our best to make our data accurate, so as to give the society a responsible answer. To this end, we have to sacrifice our personal interests and explain and guide those who can't understand our work. Here, I really hope everyone can have a deep understanding of the census. We are not bored to count the number of people in society. Our work is an activity with social significance. I hope everyone can support us and help us finish it, instead of avoiding it blindly or simply ignoring it. I think, through this practical activity, I learned how to understand the situation through society, how to deal with the situation and how to do a good job in investigation, which is also an important job-hunting skill in the future. As students, we should experience it personally in order to truly understand the practical experience and knowledge that the census has given us.
PS: This is a summary of my summer vacation practice. You'd better make some changes, so that's your own summary ~ ~ Yes, hehe.
