The history of Pidu
The history of Pidu can be traced back to the Three Kingdoms period. At that time, Zhuge Liang, the prime minister of Shu and Han Dynasties, set up "Anle County" in Pixian County (now Pidu District) in 228 AD, and sent general Zhao Yun to station it. Over time, it has gradually become a prosperous city.
In the Tang Dynasty, Pixian became an important part of Chengdu. Li Bai, a poet in the Tang Dynasty, left two famous poems in Pixian, Deng jincheng mountain and Night Sleeping in Niuzhu. In Song Dynasty, Pixian became an important commercial city, attracting a large number of businessmen and craftsmen to settle down.
Pidu culture
Pidu has a rich cultural background. Here, you can see many ancient buildings, such as Longquan Temple in Ming Dynasty and Qujiang Pool in Qing Dynasty. In addition, Pidu is also a famous "hometown of Sichuan opera", where many famous Sichuan opera actors come from.
Apart from architecture and traditional China drama, Pitu has many other cultural heritages. For example, Pixian paper-cutting, Pixian bamboo weaving and Pixian batik are all very distinctive traditional handicrafts. Here, you can personally experience the production process of these handicrafts.

Pidu is also a city of food. The cuisine here is mainly Sichuan cuisine, and there are many famous Sichuan restaurants. For example, Longquan Restaurant, Shuxiang Restaurant and Pixian Mother Rabbit Head are all very famous restaurants. In addition, there are many special snacks in Pixian, such as Pixian bean curd, Pixian rice flour, Pixian chicken feet and so on. These are all well worth trying.
How to get to pidu
If you want to reach Pitu, you can choose the following ways:
1. By air: Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport is the main airport in Sichuan Province, about 50 kilometers away from Pidu, and it can be reached by taxi or subway.
2. By train: Chengdu Railway Station is the main railway station in Sichuan Province, about 20 kilometers away from Pidu, and you can reach Pidu by taxi or subway.
3. Self-driving: If you have a car, you can choose to drive by yourself. Starting from the center of Chengdu, drive northwest along the Chengguan Expressway, and you can reach Pidu in about 30 minutes.
