The training base is divided into hospitals and community health service institutions. Hospitals above the county level can apply for "clinical training base"; Eligible community health service institutions can apply as "community training bases". The training content includes political thought, professional ethics, business training and computer. Business training is divided into theoretical study, hospital rotation and community practice. The education of political thought and professional ethics runs through the whole training process and is assessed year by year. Computers are mainly self-taught. The Department of Science, Technology and Education of the Ministry of Health is responsible for guiding the policy, planning and quality supervision of the standardized training of general practitioners throughout the country.
