Nantong Teachers College, located in Nantong City, Jiangsu Province, is a full-time provincial public normal college.

The school's predecessor was Tongzhou CoCo Lee Normal School (Tongzhou Normal School) founded by China famous industrialist Zhang Jianyu 1902. It is one of the three sources of normal education in China and the first independent normal school in China. 1953 turned into a public office and was renamed Nantong Normal School, Jiangsu Province; 1958 merged with Nantong Women's Normal School founded by 1905; In April 2005, it merged with Haimen Normal School, which originated from 1906, to form Nantong Higher Normal School. In June 20 14, Jiangsu provincial government approved the upgrading to Nantong Normal College, and in September of the same year, it merged with Rugao Normal College founded in June 20 1902 to form a new Nantong Normal College.
