Firstly, the technical system of foamed cement and foamed concrete is established systematically for the first time. At present, the research on foaming agent, foaming machine, foam concrete construction, foam products and foaming detection system is the most comprehensive and in-depth at home and abroad. Foamed cement and foamed concrete technologies in China are developed under the influence of this technical system to varying degrees.

1983, he developed the first high-pressure air foaming machine in China, which made China get rid of the backward situation that the former Soviet Union used a high-speed mixer to foam. Nowadays, high-pressure air foaming has become the dominant model in China, which has been widely promoted and the foaming quality has been comprehensively improved.

From 65438 to 0992, he developed the first complete set of foam concrete equipment in China, including feeding, mixing, foaming, mixing and pumping, which is basically the same as that of foam cement units imported from South Korea. Today, this model is integrated with the Korean model and has been popularized in China.

In 2008, he led the Beijing Guanghui team to develop the first domestic production line for filling foam concrete hollow blocks, which filled the gap in China and even the world and is becoming a leading model in this field.

Without his long-term pioneering work, there would be no breakthrough development of foam concrete and foam cement in China today.

This theory has been widely accepted in China, and the production pattern of foaming agent in China has taken shape. The development direction of composite foaming agent he proposed has also been recognized by the industry and has become the guiding theory for the future development of foaming agent.

Thirdly, he widely spread the technology of foamed cement and foamed concrete, and contributed to the popularization of this technology. In the past 20 years, dozens of related academic papers and 3 monographs have been published, and there are no two people in this industry. Therefore, it is no exaggeration to evaluate him as the founder of the industry.

In recent 10 years, most of the foam concrete in China is based on the roof cast-in-place technology imported from Europe and the ground cast-in-place technology imported from South Korea, and there are few new technologies with independent intellectual property rights. In order to change this unfavorable situation of relying on others to spit out development, Professor Yan has been committed to developing new technologies with independent property rights. He has developed a series of new foam concrete technologies, many of which have filled the gaps in China, and some of them have caught up with and surpassed developed countries. Among them, the new technologies that will become the leading products of foam concrete development in China and occupy the leading position in the world in the future include: cast-in-place system of foam concrete light steel keel wall, cast-in-place system of foam concrete external wall insulation layer, self-insulation system of coated block and its external wall, self-insulation system of foam concrete ceramsite block, self-insulation system of hollow block filled external wall, self-insulation system of foam concrete sandwich wallboard external wall, external insulation board of foam concrete external wall and its external insulation system, etc.

Fourth, he insisted on leading the industry with advanced technology, which played a pulling role in the foam cement and foam concrete industries. Today, the foaming agent and foaming machine he studied always occupy the leading position in the industry, and its "head geese" role can not be underestimated.

The Practical Production Technology of Foamed Concrete published by Professor Yan in 2006 is still the only work in China's foam concrete industry since the reform and opening up. After the publication of this book, it has become a training material for foam concrete enterprises all over the country and the main reference document for foam concrete research units. This book has played an important role in promoting the development of foam concrete in China. At present, his three new books on foamed concrete will be published soon, which will have great influence at home and abroad, and initially form the technical system of foamed concrete in China.

Since 2003, Professor Yan has been rushing to call for the establishment of a national foam concrete association to promote the development of foam concrete together with industry organizations. In 2007, his appeal received the response and strong support from the National Building Materials Technology Research and Supervision Center. Under their application, they made great efforts, and obtained the approval of the Ministry of Civil Affairs in 2009 1 month, and the trade association was announced. After the establishment of the association, Professor Yan personally mobilized all enterprises to join the association and organized experts from various departments to join the association, which made the association develop rapidly. Professor Yan devoted a lot of energy to the popularization and application of foam concrete technology. On the one hand, he held technical lectures, wrote papers and popularized foam concrete knowledge in various localities and units. On the other hand, he ran around in government departments at all levels, striving for the government's support for foamed concrete, lobbying everywhere and promoting the formulation of various industry standards and national standards. China's vigorous development of foam concrete today has a lot to do with his unremitting promotion. At present, he is making every effort to push Beijing and national standard-setting units to formulate foam concrete standards.
