Maybe you didn't drink it at the farewell party tonight, or at the farewell party again and again these days, and you even could not help crying because you thought you were strong. On the occasion of graduation, as a teacher who has been with you for four years and witnessed your growth from a 17-year-old child to a Tsinghua University graduate, I want to send you a few words.
First of all, be a professional. I could have said something more charming to my classmates, such as shouldering the responsibility for the country and the nation and contributing my own strength to the prosperity of the motherland. I haven't said much in recent years, but today I just want to tell you to be a professional. I believe that many students here will become academic masters, business elites and even leaders of China in many years. However, more people will engage in some ordinary occupations, just like the teachers present today. All the teachers in our department graduated from Tsinghua or other famous schools. Today, we are just ordinary college teachers, busy with teaching and scientific research every day, dealing with various inspections and evaluations. Most of you will do the same in your future careers. In fact, all occupations are ordinary, but people in each occupation have their own differences.
