1, GAC certificate

GAC Gem Appraiser's Qualification Certificate is the most authoritative qualification certificate of China Jewelry Industry Association for the professional ability of people engaged in jewelry industry in China. It is also the qualification certificate of jewelry industry and an effective basis for employers to recruit and employ employees.

2.GIC certificate

GIC is the English abbreviation and brand name of Jewelry College of China Geo University. It includes three main courses: the basic course of GIC gem appraisal certificate, and the certificate of GIC gem appraisal completion after graduation; GIC gemstone synthesis optimization, and obtained GIC Gemmology Certificate after graduation; GIC diamond grading certificate course, and obtained GIC diamond grading certificate after graduation.

3.NGTC certificate

"NGTC" is the abbreviation of "NationalGemstoneTestingCenter" and "National Gemstone Monitoring Training Center", and the fourth letter "C" also stands for certificate.

4.FGA certificate

FGA refers to the British Gemological Association, which enjoys a high reputation in the world. Founded in 1908, it is a non-profit organization. The qualification certificates of the British Gemological Association can be divided into basic certificates, gem certificates and diamond practice certificates. Among them, FGA Gem Certificate is the most popular qualification certificate for jewelry appraisers in China.

5.GIA certificate

GIA certificate is sponsored by American Gemological Institute, and GIA diplomas include GIA Gemological Appraisal Diploma, Diamond Appraisal Diploma and GIA colored gems Appraisal Diploma.

6.CGC certificate

Jewelry and jade quality inspector, also known as national registered appraiser, refers to professional and technical personnel who have passed the national unified examination and obtained the qualification certificate of quality inspector and are registered to engage in jewelry business activities. After passing the examination, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) issued the qualification certificate of jewelry and jade quality inspector, which was uniformly printed by the Ministry of Personnel and stamped by the Ministry of Personnel and AQSIQ. This certificate is valid all over the country, and it is the highest personal certification in the national jewelry and jade appraisal.

How to test jewelry appraisers

Jewelry appraisers are organized by the state, and the Ministry of Personnel and the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine organize examinations. Only after passing the examinations can they issue certificates.

1, application conditions

To obtain a secondary school degree in jewelry and jade (including geology), you must be engaged in jewelry and jade appraisal and inspection for 5 years. Non-professional technical secondary school education, must be engaged in professional work for 7 years. Obtain a college degree in related major and have been engaged in professional work for 2 years. Non-professional college degree, engaged in professional work for 4 years. Bachelor degree in related major, professional work should be over 1 year, non-professional bachelor degree, professional work should be over 3 years. Master degree or above in related major, professional work for half a year, non-professional master degree or above, professional work 1 year.

2. Examination subjects

There are four subjects in the examination, namely, basic theory of gemology and related laws and regulations, professional knowledge of gemology, gem identification and diamond identification and classification. Two of them are theory and two are practice.

3. Examination time

The examination for jewelry appraisers is held every two years. The examination is divided into theory and practice, and the examination time for a single subject is 3 hours. It is usually held in early July each year, and the examination places are planned to be held simultaneously in Beijing, Shanghai, Zhengzhou and other cities.
