Shijiazhuang tiedao university, formerly known as Chinese People's Liberation Army Railway Corps Engineering College, was founded in 1950, and was a key institution of the whole army at that time. 1979 is listed as a national key institution of higher learning; 1984 was transferred to the Ministry of Railways and renamed Shijiazhuang Railway Institute; In 2000, it was transferred to Hebei Province, which was jointly established by the central and local governments and became a key university in Hebei Province.
