Beijing Opera Art Vocational College is a full-time college approved by Beijing Municipal People's Government and put on record by the Ministry of Education. It is the only public art vocational college in Beijing. The predecessor of the College was the Beijing Private Art Training Opera School founded by 1952, and it was taken over by the Beijing Municipal Government in 1953 and renamed as Beijing Opera School. Famous performing artists Hao, Ma and Ren are principals. June, 5438+February, 2002, the college was established and formally held full-time higher vocational education. In 2006, Beijing Institute of Art merged with the College, which enriched the teaching and research strength of the College. Over the past 60 years, the efforts of several generations of artists have laid a good foundation for the development of art education in colleges and universities. The school has developed from a single drama major to Beijing Opera, local drama, music, dance, art design, film and television performance and other majors, and from a single drama college to a comprehensive art college, which has trained more than 7,000 artistic talents, and 20 graduates have won the "Plum Blossom Award", the highest national drama performance award.

The college now has a team of "double-qualified" teachers with strong strength, rich teaching experience and a combination of old, middle-aged and young. At present, there are 330 employees and 27 1 full-time teachers, including 47 experts with deputy senior titles or above. There are 5 famous teachers in Beijing, 17 outstanding young backbone teachers in Beijing and 1 professional leaders in Beijing. At the same time, the college has long hired famous performing artists, scholars and outstanding actors in the industry as distinguished professor to teach in the school. In the process of development, the college gradually formed a unique educational concept. Adhere to employment-oriented, quality-oriented education as the foundation, vocational ability training as the core, and promote teaching construction with artistic practice. Insisting on teaching and educating people, open training, artistic production practice and theoretical research, it has distinctive school-running characteristics and remarkable teaching results, and is known as the cradle of cultivating artistic talents. College has been rated as "civilized unit in capital" and "advanced unit of vocational education in Beijing" for many times. On June 5438+ 10, 2008, the college was rated as "excellent" by Beijing Education Commission in the "Evaluation of Talent Training Level in Higher Vocational Colleges". 20111February, the college was awarded "Beijing Model Higher Vocational College" by Beijing Municipal Education Commission.
