The term "livestock and poultry" as mentioned in this Law refers to the livestock and poultry listed in the published catalogue of livestock and poultry genetic resources in accordance with the provisions of Article 11 of this Law.
The protection, utilization, production and operation of bee and silkworm resources shall be governed by the relevant provisions of this Law.

Article 4 The state shall take measures to train animal husbandry and veterinary professionals, carry out research and popularization of animal husbandry and veterinary science and technology, carry out education and publicity of animal husbandry and veterinary science and technology knowledge, provide animal husbandry and veterinary information services, and promote the scientific and technological progress of animal husbandry.
Article 5 Animal husbandry producers and operators may voluntarily set up trade associations according to law to provide information, technology, marketing, training and other services for their members, strengthen industry self-discipline and safeguard the interests of members and industries.
Article 6 Animal husbandry producers and operators shall fulfill their obligations of animal epidemic prevention and environmental protection according to law, and accept the supervision and inspection carried out by relevant competent departments according to law.
Seventh the State Council animal husbandry and veterinary administrative department is responsible for the supervision and management of the national animal husbandry. The animal husbandry and veterinary administrative departments of the local people's governments at or above the county level shall be responsible for the supervision and administration of animal husbandry within their respective administrative areas.
The relevant competent departments of the people's governments at or above the county level shall be responsible for promoting the development of animal husbandry within the scope of their respective duties.
