Miyazaki Hayao (1941)/kloc-0 was born in Tokyo on October 5th, ranking second among the four brothers. Their family originally lived in bunkyo-ku, Tokyo. Later, due to the evacuation during World War II, the family moved to Utsunomiya and Kashima. My uncle who lives in Kashima City runs an airplane factory, and Miyazaki Hayao's father is in charge of this factory. Miyazaki Hayao's mother is a strict and clever woman, which has a great influence on Miyazaki Hayao's life. Miyazaki Hayao's younger brother later recalled that when he saw the pirate's mother-in-law in City in the Sky, he couldn't help thinking of his own mother. The movie Valley of the Wind tells a fictional story: a huge industrial civilization was destroyed at one time. 1000 years later, the earth was full of deadly pollution and terrible giant worms (called "king worms"). There is a remote small country located in the valley of the wind-several oasis without pollution. Princess Nausicaa of a small country is brave and kind. She is the only child in the family who survived healthily. She is good at using gliders against the wind, a little "rebellious" and close to Wang Chong. In order to protect the valley of the wind from pollution, she bravely faced the treacherous world and discovered the real secret of the guardian and destroyer of this world with her loving new soul. The name Nausicaa comes from the Odyssey. She is a symbol of courage, health and hope created by Miyazaki Hayao.

Nausicaa has become the audience's favorite female animation character, and her charm remains immortal after 10 years. Because of this film, Miyazaki Hayao became an influential animation director. The important theme of "man and nature" in his works was laid at this time.

It is worth mentioning that it took Miyazaki Hayao 13 years to complete the cartoon version of The Valley of the Wind. Princess Mononoke

Since The Valley of the Wind, Miyazaki Hayao has been thinking about the relationship between man and nature. From 65438 to 0995, he began to make a long-planned film, the content of which was to show the conflict between man and nature. This is the famous ghost princess (Ji). The story took place in Muromachi era in Japan (14th century to16th century). In that turbulent era, people exploited natural resources at will, which caused considerable damage to the environment, and the contradiction between man and various gods in the natural world also arose (this is the pantheism view of Japan, that is, everything has a corresponding god in charge). In order to survive, humans have to cut down forests, and the disappearance of forests makes animals have no shelter. Ashitaka, a teenager, came to West Japan to find a way to break his spell, but he was accidentally involved in this mutually destructive war. He met Xiao Shan (called "Ghost Princess"), a human girl who was raised by the dog god. This film is also a "girl's love story". Xiao Shan should belong to human or nature? How to solve the conflict between man and nature? Miyazaki Hayao felt unable to answer this question. The film ends with the restoration of the natural environment in exchange for the death of the unicorn in charge of all life. Xiaoshan said to Ashitaka, "I like you, but I can't forgive human beings." The answer she got was: "Never mind, let's live together! "Since there is no solution, it can only continue to exist.
