Jinzhong university is a multi-disciplinary undergraduate college formed by the merger of Jinzhong Teachers College, Jinzhong Education College and Jinzhong Workers College.
Jinzhong Normal University: Founded in 1958, it is one of the oldest normal universities in China. The original site of the school is Yingbin Road, Yuci District, Jinzhong City (now stationed in 8650 Armed Police Force). At that time, the school had more than 40 faculty members and more than 400 students, including Chinese, mathematics, science, biochemistry and physical education.
1962 schools were ordered to close during the difficult period of the country.
1978 resumed reconstruction with the approval of the State Council. The main school is located in chang ning zhen, Yuci District, Jinzhong City, and some disciplines are located in Yuci No.1 Middle School. At the beginning of the resumption of classes, there were more than 20 teachers and 300 students in the school, including Chinese, English, mathematics, physics and chemistry.

Jinzhong Teachers College: 1998 10 With the approval of Shanxi Provincial People's Government, Jinzhong Regional Education College was abolished, and its personnel and equipment were merged into Jinzhong Teachers College, which was renamed Jinzhong Teachers College.
From June, 5438 to February, 2000, Jinzhong Staff and Workers University merged to become the best school in Shanxi Province, and it is also the only ordinary institution of higher learning in Jinzhong that combines normal education with non-normal education, general education with adult education and pre-job training with on-the-job training.

In May 2004, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, it was upgraded to an undergraduate college and renamed Jinzhong University.
