After Shuai Lao retired, his free creative time was relatively plentiful, his creative enthusiasm was higher, and he was more enthusiastic about the cause of the elderly and public welfare activities. Although retired, he still holds some important social posts, such as member of Jiu San Society, librarian of Guangxi Literature and History Research Institute, member of China Calligraphers Association, executive vice president of Guangxi Old-age Painting and Calligraphy Research Association, and deputy director of Calligraphy (lettering) Art Committee of Wenhua Pavilion Painting and Calligraphy Institute of the Overseas Chinese Federation of the Ministry of Culture. On the one hand, he is engaged in creative work, including carved bottles of Macau's return, calligraphy banners of Longxiang, Feng, Yun, Rain and Snow, and bamboo carvings of Qi Jiguang's boxing drawings. There are more than 1000 works. These creations are the artistic peak reached by Shuai Lao in his later years, which is precious. In particular, the pottery sculpture of Macao's return is a spherical pottery bottle with the words "Macao's return" engraved on it. Before the return of Macao, the right is dark brown, and the "return" is orange red. Two-color works by God's will are engraved with more than 1,000 words of speeches by state leaders Deng Xiaoping and Jiang Zemin on "one country, two systems". 1999 is the Year of the Rabbit, and the characters are surrounded by rabbit-shaped paper-cut patterns running towards them. This is a pioneering work of China's calligraphy and pottery carving art, and it is also a masterpiece of Shuai Lao, which shows his profound artistic skill and is a rare treasure with high artistic value.
Shuai Lao used to be the executive vice president of Guangxi Society of Painting and Calligraphy for the Elderly, and played an important role in the activities of painting and calligraphy for the elderly in Guangxi. In order to enrich the artistic life of the elderly, he organized a delegation of elderly painting and calligraphy researchers to go to Shanghai Naval Base, Guangxi Fakashan Frontier Defense Force and other places to carry out "Love My Great Wall" condolences, performances, lectures and guidance activities, which made great contributions to the cause of the elderly and the construction of military culture and was warmly welcomed and highly praised by all parties.
At the same time, he was invited to give lectures and perform in Japan, the United States and domestic scenic spots such as Mount Tai, Dunhuang and Guilin. Shuai Lao worked for eight or nine hours every day before his death, while creating, he accelerated the compilation and publication of Collected Works of Shuai Lizhi, Calligraphy Essentials, Bamboo Slips seal cutting, Hard Pen Calligraphy and other works. He wants to leave the fruits of his life's efforts and experiences to future generations. "Mo Dao Sang Yu is late, because the sky is still full of clouds." It is a wonderful portrayal of Shuai Lao's later life.
Comrade Shuai Lizhi, the principle of China Calligraphers Association, former secretary general of Guangxi Calligraphers Association, executive vice president of Guangxi Senior Calligraphy and Painting Research Association and member of Jiu San Society, died in Nanning on 10/65438 at the age of 88.
