PricewaterhouseCoopers has been paying attention to the career development of students in China. In order to promote the progress of accounting research in China, since 200 1, PricewaterhouseCoopers has provided scholarships for those accounting professionals who are passionate, have leadership and have potential. In addition, PricewaterhouseCoopers launched the Elite Training Program (PDP) to help scholarship applicants improve their leadership, communication skills, personal qualities and potential.
In May 2008, in order to let more students develop their leadership and deepen their understanding of accounting, PricewaterhouseCoopers established LEAP, a PwC student club, based on the elite training program, to provide internship and training opportunities for accounting students, and organized a series of activities to cultivate members' leadership and communication skills and deepen their understanding of accounting and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
2008 is the first year of LEAP. At present, LEAP is only distributed in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. However, with the growth of LEAP, PricewaterhouseCoopers aims to become one of the best student career development institutions in China. LEAP will become an effective platform for students to exercise their leadership, organizational skills and communication skills, and a link between students and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
