Which level is more difficult to test, FRM or CFA?
CFA is more difficult. It takes at least half a year to complete FRM Level II and two years to complete CFA Level III.

Comparison of difficulty between FRM and CFA;

1, it may be a little difficult to see the difficulty of obtaining a certificate in CFA exam, because CFA needs 4 years of work experience, 3 exams, and it takes 2.5 years to pass Grade 3 at one time (assuming 1 review for half a year); FRM financial risk managers only need 2 years of relevant experience, 1 exam (Part 1/2 can be completed in one day). However, in terms of the difficulty of FRM and CFA exams, FRM exams are not less difficult than CFA exams.

2. Although FRM exams are all multiple-choice questions, they are all four-choice questions. Under normal circumstances, candidates can only rule out two and wander among the remaining two options. CFA exam is a multiple-choice question with three choices, which is relatively easy to choose. However, the CFA Level 3 exam is divided into 50% writing and 50% cases, and the writing questions are still difficult. The FRM Level 1 exam requires a lot of calculations and the exam time is tight, so many candidates can't complete the FRM Level 1 exam at all. Of course, CFA exam also has the problem of time shortage, but FRM exam will be a little more difficult in terms of overall calculation amount and intensity.

3.CFA examination system is relatively mature, and both teaching materials and examinations are "standardized". However, the FRM exam is an exam that does not follow the "routine". It is difficult to understand the rules, and it is still difficult to review by yourself and pass the exam.
