Does your child often have the following problems? That child may have the problem of "auditory integration disorder"!

■ Babies are less likely to turn to sound sources (such as closing doors) or often fail to notice what others are saying to them. ■ Speak late and have poor oral expression skills. ■ Easy to be distracted by sound interference. ■ Inconsistent pronunciation (such as business) and slurred speech. ■ Poor listening comprehension, unable to understand others' meaning or speaking too fast. ■ It is easy to listen to others and answer "Ah? Poor auditory memory, things to be repeated many times or easy to forget. ■ A long list of instructions cannot be fully executed.

Before the age of 2, it is the development period of brain sensory action, and children learn through a lot of senses in their lives. Before the age of 6, children's brain nerves develop most rapidly, and learning through experience can help children's brain development. Experiential learning is to know things and learn the overall concept and knowledge of things through the input of various senses such as feeling, doing, seeing and experiencing.

For example, when a child sees a banana that is yellow, long, soft to the touch, fragrant and sweet to eat, it will stick to his hand if he squeezes it hard. After many experiences, after listening to his mother and seeing her say "banana", the child finally understands the complete concept of banana and knows that banana should be gently held, peeled and eaten, so sweet and delicious! This shows that parents can understand the importance of "sensory integration" for children's development.

We take parents to know sensory integration, and also teach you how to develop the five senses to make children smart and lively.

The five sensory systems include:

1. Touch. 2. Vestibular sensation. 3. proprioception. 4. Listen to perception. 5. Visual perception.

Let's enter most of the five senses: hearing.

The auditory system includes auditory organs (outer ear, inner ear and middle ear), which are responsible for collecting sound sources and transmitting them to the auditory perception center of brain stem and brain. Let us hear the sound and understand its meaning, including tone, volume, rhythm, sound direction, source and language.

The importance of hearing:

Hearing includes hearing and understanding, and infancy is a critical period for the development of the auditory system. If the problems are not found in time, or the hearing is insufficient in life, it will have a direct impact on children's language development, and it will also cause obstacles to children's communication, which will inevitably affect children's future academic study (listening, speaking and reading ability) and concentration.

Parents can do this:

From infancy, mothers often talk to their babies to help them understand life and language, such as wrapping cloth, drinking grandma, drinking water and wearing shoes and socks. At different stages of the baby, provide sound toys suitable for hearing and brain, such as bedside musical bells, rattles, doodle toys, percussion instruments, etc.

Make good use of different music in children's lives, such as sleep music, rhythm music and ballads. Encourage children's oral expression in life and play language games with them, such as listening to instructions to take things and pretending to be wine at home. Remember that parents should interact with their children in age-appropriate language! Parent-child reading can help enrich language vocabulary, and can also be combined with CD music books to integrate audio-visual perception to help learning.

Listen to the little exhortation of perception:

Parents usually overemphasize their children's learning and development in hearing and vision, while ignoring the potential problems of other five senses. You must have good sense of touch, vestibule and proprioception, so that you can have good hearing and language skills!

Recommended reading: Poor and nervous parents may hinder the development of children's brain sensory integration.

If parents suspect that there is something wrong with their children's auditory integration or sensory integration, please seek professional evaluation and consultation. The critical period of children's growth should be grasped!
