Purified internal environment can be divided into soft environment and hard environment. Soft environment refers to the whole company's workflow, the establishment and implementation of work system, assessment and so on. Hard environment is what we often call 5S management, which refers to five items: sorting (SEIRI), rectifying (SEITON), cleaning (SEISO), cleaning (SEIKETSU) and accomplishment (SHITSUKE). This is a unique management method of Japanese enterprises. 5S has played a great role in shaping corporate image, reducing costs, delivering on time, safe production, high standardization, creating a relaxed workplace, and improving on site.
