I advise you not to attach too much importance to the so-called academic background, especially the guqin. Many masters are in the folk, and they still look down on those academics ... unless, of course, you plan to make your lover a music professor in the future to make a living.
There are so many people in Shenyang that it is impossible to have only 1 or two teachers.
I recommend the book "Beautiful Voice" written by Wu Zhao, the former chairman of Qin Hui, China, which contains a complete introduction to guqin, with a special chapter on the characteristics and residence of contemporary violinists. You can buy it for reference.
