Yesterday afternoon, I was free. My daughter and I went to Wanda at the door and had a cup of Luckin coffee. I sat there and made a micro-headline, mainly to complete the headline making task of the day. It is the instinct of media people to find material anytime and anywhere. I'm simple. I send whatever comes to mind.

I didn't expect the comment area to explode! In just a few hours, there were 650,000 exhibitions, 80,000 readings and hundreds of comments. Someone is still sending private messages at two in the morning.

I think you may be interested in studying abroad and the related expenses. Today, I will talk about some specific situations of studying in Japan in detail.

Streets in residential areas of Japan

1. Why do you want to study abroad? Why do you want to study in Japan?

Why study abroad? This question is like when you were in your hometown, you wanted to go to Beijing and Shanghai, and people asked you why you went to Beijing and Shanghai. What's your answer? People live in this world in order to pursue more knowledge, yearn for a more civilized life, a more optimistic and bad environment, broaden their horizons and experience a different life.

That's all the answers, no problem.

What about China? There are good and bad; How about abroad? There are good and bad. The difference is that they have many differences.

Why do you want to study in Japan?

Izu Peninsula, Japan

There are two very simple reasons. First, children like Japanese culture. When it comes to Japanese culture, don't think too much. A child of 17 years old thinks differently from us. What she likes is anime, Japanese food, some designs, cosmetics, clothes and dolls. To tell the truth, if you have been to Japan or know about Japan, their civilization level is still remarkable.

For example, the decoration style of our existing houses has long been "Japanese style", and many designs of some senior homestays are also Japanese. Japanese food is also welcomed by many people, such as Muji, Uniqlo and Shiseido, not to mention Mitsubishi, Toyota and Panasonic.

No matter which industry, all kinds of products of Japanese brands are world-famous.

In the land where cherry blossoms are blooming, thousands of birds are in the depths.

The second reason is that the cost of studying in Japan is relatively cheap. Japanese universities are divided into public universities and private universities. The annual tuition fee of public universities is between 30,000 and 50,000 yuan, and that of private universities is between 60,000 and 80,000 yuan, which is paid once in spring and autumn.

My daughter went to Waseda University in Tokyo, a private university with a tuition fee of 70,000 RMB a year. Another of her classmates was admitted to Yokohama National University in Japan, with a tuition fee of 50,000 RMB a year.

Friends who are interested in these two universities can go to Baidu, so I won't go into details here.

This tuition is not expensive, is it? Britain, the United States, Canada, Australia, that is expensive, and the annual tuition fee is around 200,000-300,000.

One of my daughter's classmates, whose family is relatively rich, is an undergraduate in the United States, with a total annual expenditure (tuition and living expenses) of 500 thousand. Four years spent 2 million to save children.

In addition to tuition fees, children in Japan have two major expenses, namely, food and shelter.

Unlike in China, Japanese universities don't care about accommodation. The reason is that Japan is small, and Tokyo, especially Waseda University, has100000 students. It is difficult to apply for a dormitory. Even if you apply, you still have to pay, and it is not cheap. So most students rent apartments outside.

Renting a house is expensive. An apartment of 20 square meters is generally around 4-5 thousand yuan, and the better the location, the higher the price. Especially the first month of renting, deposit, gift money, insurance, etc. Generally, you will spend about 20 thousand yuan in the first month, of which only the deposit will be refunded after the expiration, and the rest will not be refunded. This is the law and there is no room for discussion.

The rental system is perfect, all intermediary operations, and the landlord is not seen.

Then eat, the most economical way is to buy food and cook by yourself, and the daily living expenses are about 100 yuan/person. If you eat out, a meal of Lamian Noodles or 1: 1 rice is about 50-60 yuan RMB. This is the cheapest.

Rent 10 thousand yuan a month, with meals. Then the total cost of a year is 200 thousand.

Second, how to go to Japan for undergraduate study?

There are four ways to apply for Japanese undergraduate course: language school transition, domestic direct application, English program undergraduate application and tourist visa college entrance examination direct application.

Among them, the transition to a language school is the most reliable and commonly used way. Because Japanese is the mother tongue of Japan, few people have basic knowledge or good knowledge of Japanese, so they need to transition to a language school before they formally enter school. After completing the language school course, I will take the EJU exam and the internal exams of Japanese universities, and only after passing the exam can I enter the undergraduate course.

Japanese language school is also called preparatory class, where you study Japanese and Japanese culture, and the content is what you want to take the Japanese university exam. 90% students will choose this route. The visa for a language school is two years, which means that you have to be admitted to a Japanese university within two years, otherwise you need to re-visa.

For the other three types, domestic undergraduates who directly apply for English programs and students who directly apply for tourist visas to enter universities need many additional conditions, which are beyond the reach of ordinary people.

How to get to the language school in Japan? Simple, find an intermediary. Let professionals do professional things, there is nothing to struggle with. The intermediary will help you find a good Japanese school, apply for a study visa, help you develop your child's Japanese and help you take the exam. In short, you only need to pay an agency fee, prepare all kinds of information as required, and everything will be done for you.

How to find an intermediary? The easiest way is to find the most famous one in your local area, and the agency fee varies from place to place.

The Japanese training fee is calculated separately, which is also a big expense. At that time, we spent a year studying in our spare time and paid 50 thousand training fees.

It is very important to learn Japanese well. If you plan to study abroad, you'd better prepare in Grade One or Grade Two, mainly studying Japanese. Otherwise, food, clothing, housing and transportation are hard to get in Japan, and language schools teach in Japanese.

To study in Japan, you must get a domestic high school diploma.

Third, how to get into Japanese universities.

Japanese school is equivalent to our college entrance examination remedial class. When you arrive at the language school, the teacher will help you choose the university that suits you. Of course, people also put forward reference opinions, and the initiative is still in their own hands.

There are two criteria for you to choose a university. One is your grades, that is, just like the national college entrance examination, you can go to any university you can enter. Second, your family's economic conditions, public university tuition is slightly cheaper, but the difference is not big.

The picture below is for reference only.

Another advantage of studying in Japan is that when you go to college, you can work outside the school. Japanese law stipulates that the visa qualification of international students is study, and activities other than visa qualification require work permit to obtain legal work qualification. If you enter the work without a work permit, once it is discovered by the administration, it will be regarded as a black job and will be dealt with seriously. There are strict regulations on the time, place and type of work.

In Japan, we must abide by all laws and regulations.

My daughter used to work in a dessert shop and coffee shop in Ginza. Japanese hourly wage is generally 50-70 yuan RMB. You can know how much time you have worked while maintaining academic Excellence, which is generally around 3000 to 5000 yuan.

Fourth, the destination and future after graduation, how much money you can earn in a month.

This has a lot to do with the school and major you chose. You can stay in Japan or go back to work. You can choose to continue your studies or take part in the work directly. The salary of working in Japan is not high, generally around 10 thousand yuan, because you just entered the workplace, Japanese companies gradually raise your salary according to your working years, that is, get it.

Jobs in Japan are relatively stable and benefits are good. Their culture doesn't like to change jobs frequently, which is not a good choice for themselves and the company. Many people work in one place all their lives.

If you return to work, there are still many companies to choose from. After all, in addition to majors, children are also proficient in a foreign language as their specialty. Of course, it is best to be admitted to a famous university in Japan.

During the four or five years in Japan, it is also very good if children can find a way to start a business, such as trade, training, procurement, etc. It depends on the child's ability and choice.

Many people say that studying abroad costs millions, and returning to work earns thousands of dollars a month. There are many such phenomena, but I want to say that this is the child's own choice, and everyone's situation is different. The development after returning to China depends on personal ability, isn't it the same at home? Who says people who come out of Tsinghua will succeed?

Whether it is worth studying abroad, you say it is, and you say it is not.
