Chapter 2: Self-evaluation of maintenance electrician.

In my years of equipment maintenance, I noticed that many faults were caused by the aging of various low-voltage electrical appliances during menstruation and the lack of regular maintenance. The following illustrates the troubleshooting and essentials of low-voltage electrical appliances through some examples in my maintenance work.

A few examples of troubleshooting common voltage appliances

1, voltage circuit breaker failure

Contact overheating, can smell the smell of power distribution control cabinet. After inspection, the moving contact is not completely inserted into the static contact, and the contact pressure is not enough, which leads to the decrease of switch capacity and overheating of the contact. At this time, the operating mechanism should be adjusted so that the moving contact is completely inserted into the static contact. When electrified, flashover and explosion occur due to long-term overload and poor contact. When repairing this fault, we must pay attention to safety to prevent electric arc from harming people and equipment. After the load and contacts are overhauled and the no-load power supply is normal, the operation can be checked with load until it is normal. This kind of fault must pay attention to the daily maintenance of the equipment to avoid unnecessary harm.

2, contactor failure

Out-of-phase contact, poor contact of a certain phase or loose terminal screws lead to out-of-phase operation of the motor. At this time, the motor can rotate but hum. Stop the car immediately for maintenance. Contact welding, connect the "stop" button, the motor will not stop rotating, and it may hum. This kind of fault is that the two-phase or three-phase contact can be removed due to overload, and the coil is rewound according to the original data, and then dipped in paint to dry.

3, thermal relay failure

The mechanical equivalent of the heating element is burnt out. If the motor can't start or there is buzzing when it starts, it may be that the fuse in the thermal element of the thermal relay is blown. The reason for this failure is that the operating frequency of thermal relay is too high or the negative side is overloaded. After troubleshooting, replace the appropriate thermal relay, and readjust the set value after attention. Thermal relay "misoperation". There are several reasons for this failure: the setting value is too small, so that there is no overload when acting; The starting time of the motor is too long, which makes the thermal relay act during the starting process; The operating frequency is too high, so that the thermal elements are often impacted. Re-adjust the set value or replace the appropriate thermal relay to solve the problem. The thermal relay does not operate. This kind of fault is usually that the current setting value is so large that it does not act for a long time after overload. The set current should be adjusted according to the working current of the load. Thermal relay has been used for a long time, so its operation reliability should be checked regularly. When the thermal relay trips, it should be reset after bimetal cooling. Do not press the reset button too hard, otherwise it will damage the operating mechanism.

Second, the troubleshooting of common voltage appliances and its essentials Each voltage appliance with contact action is mainly composed of three parts: contact system, electromagnetic system and orphan extinguishing device. It is also the focus of maintenance.

1, contact for troubleshooting.

Contact failure generally includes contact overheating, fusion welding, etc. The main causes of contact overheating are insufficient contact pressure, oxidized or unclean surface and insufficient capacity. The main reason of contact fusion welding is that when the contact is closed, a large arc is generated, and the contact jumps seriously. Check the contact surface for oxidation and dirt. There is dirt on the contact, which has been cleaned with gasoline. The oxide layer of silver contact not only has good conductivity, but also will be reduced to metallic silver in use, so it cannot be repaired.

If there is an oxide layer on the copper contact, you can file it with a smooth file or scrape off the oxide layer on its surface with a knife. Observe whether there is burn or singeing on the contact surface. The singeing of copper contacts can be trimmed with a smooth file or knife. The repaired contact surface does not need to be too smooth, and it is not allowed to be repaired with abrasive cloth, so as to avoid the residual sand grains embedded in the contact when the contact is closed, causing poor contact. But the silver contact singeing does not need to be repaired. If the contact is welded, the contact should be replaced. If it is caused by insufficient contact capacity, an electrical appliance with larger capacity should be selected for replacement.

Check whether the contact is loose. If it is loose, tighten it to prevent the contact from jumping off. Check whether there is any mechanical damage on the contact to deform the spring, resulting in insufficient contact pressure. If so, the pressure should be adjusted to make the contacts contact well. The empirical measurement method of contact pressure is as follows: to measure the initial pressure, put a piece of paper between the bracket and the moving contact, which is about 0. 1mm wider than the contact, and the paper is pressed by the spring. At this time, pull the paper with one hand. When the paper can be pulled out and feels strong, it can be considered that the initial pressure is more appropriate. When measuring the final pressure, the paper is sandwiched between the moving and static contacts. When the contacts are electrified and attracted, the same square ruler is used. When the paper can be pulled out, the final pressure can be considered as appropriate. For large-capacity electrical appliances, such as 100a, when the same square farad paper strip is used, it can be considered that the initial and final pressure when the paper strip is pulled out is more suitable. The above-mentioned contact pressure measurement method has achieved good results in many repair tests. Can be carried out normally. If the measured pressure value cannot be recovered by adjusting the spring, the spring or contact must be replaced.

2. Troubleshooting of electromagnetic system Due to poor contact between the end faces of the moving and static iron cores, the iron core is skewed, the short-circuit ring is damaged, the voltage is low, the armature will make noise, and even the coil will be overheated or burned.

(1) The armature is noisy. When repairing, remove the coil and check whether the contact surface between stator core and stator core is smooth and free of oil pollution. If it is uneven, it should be filed or smoothed; If there is oil stain, clean it with gasoline. If the moving iron core is skewed or loose, it should be corrected or tightened. Check whether the short-circuit ring is broken. If the short-circuit ring is broken, the copper plate should be replaced according to the original size, or the thick copper wire should be made into a square section and installed according to the original size.

(2) After the electromagnetic coil is cut off, the armature is not released immediately. The main reasons for this failure are: the moving part is stuck; The air gap of iron core is large and the remanence is too large; Spring fatigue deformation, lack of elasticity, oil pollution on the contact surface of iron core. After disassembly and renovation, an air gap of 0.02-0.03 mm can be left between the end face and the bottom end face of the iron core, and the spring can also be replaced.

(3) Troubleshooting of the coil. The main fault of the coil is that the current passing through it is too large and the coil is overheated and burned. This kind of fault is usually due to the damaged insulation of the coil, low power supply voltage and poor contact between the moving and static cores, which will also make the coil current too large and the coil overheat and burn out. If the coil is burned due to short circuit, it should be rewound. The diameter and number of turns of the wire can be measured from the burnt coil. You can also find out from the nameplate or manual that if the coil is short-circuited at 3℃, the number of turns of the coil in the oven is not much. The short circuit point is close to the coil head, and the rest are in good condition. Cut off the power supply immediately to avoid burning the coil. If there is no vibration and mechanical noise after the coil is electrified, check whether the lead connection of the coil falls off, and check whether the coil is broken or burned with a multimeter; If there is vibration and noise after power-on, check whether the moving parts are stuck, whether there is a conductor between the static and moving cores, and whether the power supply voltage is too low. We should treat them differently and deal with them in time.

3. Maintenance of fire extinguishing device

Remove the arc extinguishing cover, check the integrity of the arc extinguishing blade, and remove the smoke marks and metal chips on the surface. The shell should be intact. If there is a crack in the arc extinguishing cover, it should be replaced in time. In particular, it is pointed out that the original electrical appliances with arc extinguishing cover should not be used to prevent short circuit without arc extinguishing cover. There are many kinds of commonly used low-voltage appliances. The above are some typical and commonly used methods and essentials for handling electrical faults, which are similar, and have certain characteristics for the maintenance of other electrical appliances, but they are very practical. This is a summary of maintenance technology I have worked for many years for your reference. Every time I study, I learn some new theories, and apply them to guiding work practice and work, and improve the power supply system and control system of the factory, which has won unanimous praise.

Fourthly, in the aspect of energy saving and consumption reduction, we actively use what we have learned and make a lot of contributions to the energy saving and consumption reduction of the factory. For example, in the aspect of line transformation, it saves more than 10 million kwh of electricity for the factory every year. 1, check whether the insulation of outgoing wires is intact, whether the motor is overheated, whether the wiring meets the requirements of nameplate, and whether the winding and head and tail are correct;

2. Measure the insulation resistance and DC resistance to see if the insulation is damaged. Whether the winding is open, short-circuited and grounded;

3. Power-on inspection When problems are found after the above inspection, you can directly power-on the test, start to apply a lower voltage with the three-phase voltage regulator, and then gradually rise to the rated voltage. Using the above inspection methods, we can find faults and repair many motors in the factory. Summarize all kinds of fault phenomena and solutions in time, and record them, guide practice and improve your professional level.
