/kloc-in the autumn of 0/902, Qiongtai College was restructured into a new school, named Qiongzhou Government Middle School, Qiongya Middle School, Guangdong Provincial Sixth Normal School and Guangdong Liqiongya Normal School. Qiongtai has been transformed into a modern school, with talented people and a well-known reputation. This is the place where Hainan first responded to the May 4th Movement. Most of the members of the first party branch in Hainan are Qiongtai teachers and students. Wang Wenming, Yang Shanji, Feng Ping, the main leaders in the early days of Qiongya Revolution, and Zhou Shidi, the general of the People's Liberation Army, all studied in Qiongtai. Xie Fei, the only female Hainanese who participated in the Long March of the Red Army and former vice president of the Public Security University, is also a student of Qiongtai. Despite the long-term social turmoil in the Republic of China, before liberation, Qiongtai still trained more than 6,600 graduates.
Hainan was liberated in April, 1950. The school was named "Guangdong Qiongtai Normal School" and changed to "Hainan Normal School" during the Cultural Revolution. After the Cultural Revolution, the original school name was restored. It is one of the four key normal schools in Guangdong Province. 1988, Hainan Province was renamed Hainan Qiongtai Normal School. In May 2004, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, it merged with Hainan Lingao Normal University to form Qiongtai Normal University.
In the past 50 years, Qiongtai Teachers College has trained more than 2 1000 teachers, kindergarten teachers and 1000 college graduates with its excellent revolutionary tradition and rigorous school-running style. They have made great contributions to Hainan's cultural and educational undertakings, and many of them have become educational experts and scholars, such as Professor Xing, president of China Society for Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language, doctoral supervisor of Huazhong Normal University, and Professor Wang Kaifa, former vice president of South China Normal University who studied in Qiongtai. Qiongtai Teachers College is the cradle of backbone teachers in Hainan primary schools and kindergartens.
Qiongtai Teachers College runs schools in new and old campuses respectively. The campus covers an area of 1067 mu. Since 2005, it has enrolled students all over the country, and now it has Chinese education, mathematics education, English education, music education, fine arts education, physical education, preschool education, modern educational technology and other normal majors, as well as secretarial, garden technology, foreign-related English, hotel management, tourism management, computer art design, decorative art design, computer network technology, computer application technology, animation design and production, public service and other majors/kloc- There are 9888 students and 437 in-service teachers, including 93 teachers with associate senior titles and above, and 23 foreign and part-time professors at home and abroad.
Since the reform and opening-up, especially since Hainan established a special zone, Qiongtai Teachers College has made great progress in campus construction, team building, teaching management and personnel training with the care and support of leaders at all levels and all walks of life. It has been awarded honorary titles such as "model of civilized unit" and "advanced unit of running a school" by Hainan Provincial Party Committee and provincial government for many times. In 2005, it was rated as a national "civilized unit" and "advanced unit for running schools according to law", and in 2008 it was rated as a national "civilized unit".
In the past 300 years, Qiongtai Normal School has been full of vitality and youth. She has trained many talents for the economic construction and social development in southern Xinjiang, and also established the Qiongtai brand, which is well-known at home and abroad. In 2009, the school passed the evaluation of personnel training, and 20 10 was determined by Hainan Provincial People's Government as a provincial backbone higher vocational construction college.
On September 201May 10, the Ministry of Education issued a document: According to the deployment and requirements of the Opinions of the Ministry of Education on the Establishment of Ordinary Colleges and Universities during the Twelfth Five-Year Plan period, in 20 15, it approved the establishment of undergraduate schools in the central and eastern regions, and at the same time approved the transformation of some independent colleges into independent private undergraduate schools. It was decided that Qiongtai Teachers College was renamed Qiongtai Teachers College.
