Hainan Vocational and Technical College is a full-time general higher vocational college approved by Hainan Provincial People's Government and filed by the Ministry of Education.

College was established in 2000; In 2002, it was determined by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance as a training base project construction school supported by the central government; In 2003, it passed the evaluation of the first batch of talents training in higher vocational colleges by the Ministry of Education; In 2008, it was included in the construction plan of "National Model Higher Vocational College"; In February of the same year, 65438 was identified by the Ministry of Education and Hainan Province as a key higher vocational college built by the Ministry of Education. 20 15 was selected as the first batch of modern apprenticeship pilot units in China; In 2020, it was selected into the research and training program of Chinese intangible cultural heritage inheritors.
