1. What is theoretical innovation and how to realize it?
I think that theoretical innovation is the theory that our party often sums up the past and puts forward to solve new problems and deal with new situations on the premise of summing up historical experiences and lessons. This theory is innovation theory, which is developed and broadened on the basis of predecessors' theories. It is used to solve new problems and overcome new difficulties. But whenever we encounter new problems in our current work, we will certainly produce new theories to guide our new practice, and in this process, we are carrying out theoretical innovation and practical innovation.
The new theory is based on the previous theory, not to say that the previous theory is outdated, but to summarize, develop and improve the previous theory. How does theory become truth? It is precisely because it has been polished and tested by practice that it conforms to objective reality and becomes truth. What I want to say here is that past practices can be regarded as a part of history. In this period of history, our practice is like that, which is determined by the times. You can't simply talk about right and wrong. We can only say that in that historical period, carrying out that practice under the guidance of that theory was in line with the specific situation at that time, instead of sitting here today and marking yesterday's position with today's coordinates to judge the right or wrong of historical events, because history is a fact of the past. The theory at that time was correct at that time, and it cannot be said that it is still correct today. The standard of right and wrong lies in whether it conforms to objective reality. No matter how well a theory is said, if it is not realistic, it will also become an empty castle. It looks beautiful but useless.
Theoretical innovation cannot be grandstanding, and it is strictly forbidden to be unconventional. Some people regard innovation as grandstanding and unconventional. Innovation is not grandstanding, let alone novelty. It is the development and perfection on the basis of the existing theory, which makes the theory more in line with the current objective reality. For example, Socialism with Chinese characteristics Thought in the new period is in the same strain as Socialism with Chinese characteristics proposed by Comrade Deng Xiaoping. The former is the inheritance and development of the latter, and the latter is the premise. It is not a castle in the air, not a subjective imagination, but a guiding ideology that conforms to the current reality in China. It is Deng Xiaoping Theory, Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory, Theory of Three Represents and Scientific Outlook on Development.
Theoretical innovation focuses on solving new problems and overcoming new difficulties. History is advancing and society is progressing. In this process, we will inevitably encounter new problems and difficulties. These problems and difficulties show that we are advancing, climbing mountains and making progress. It is normal to encounter problems and difficulties. We should try to solve them and overcome them. This method is a theory, a new method and theory to solve our problems and difficulties on the basis of predecessors' methods and theories. The theory that can solve problems and overcome difficulties conforms to reality, which is the process of theoretical innovation. The process of theoretical innovation is the process of combining with practice and being tested by practice. The correct theory that has been tested by practice becomes truth, and then new difficulties and problems are encountered, and then new theories and methods are generated to solve them. Repeating this process is the method of theoretical innovation.
Second, what is practical innovation and how to achieve it?
In my opinion, practical innovation is to solve new problems and resolve new difficulties with new practices on the basis of previous practices. Faced with new problems and difficulties, we can't avoid them. We have to face difficulties and solve them, which forces us not to innovate in practice. I think the practice of innovation must first clear up the train of thought. This idea should not be the old one, but a new one. This requires us to solve the problem of thinking through brainstorming. With thinking, we actually have a method (theory) to solve problems and resolve difficulties, and then use this theory to guide our new practice. New practice is an unprecedented action, and action cannot be blind, because blind action is more terrible than inaction. When encountering problems, our mentality is very important. We need to calm down. In some cases, a few days is not impossible. While putting it on hold for a few days, we should brainstorm and come up with a solution. Once we have a solution, we will practice and explore new theories. If we succeed, we will sum up our successful experience. If we fail, we will sum up the lessons. I think it is very important to allow trial and error in this process. If we don't even have a chance to try, then the problem can't be solved, the difficulty can't be solved, and we can't grow and progress from it.
Third, the significance of theoretical innovation and practical innovation
The significance of theoretical innovation lies in constantly producing new theories and constantly guiding new practices, so that the theoretical development keeps pace with the times, and when the theory develops, our learning will be strengthened. Strengthening theoretical research is conducive to further theoretical innovation, thus constantly pushing forward our cause.
The significance of practical innovation lies in applying the achievements of theoretical innovation to practice and creating greater social and economic benefits. The development of practice has promoted the further study and development of theory, and effectively promoted the steady development of our cause.
