Shijiazhuang, referred to as "Stone" for short, formerly known as Shimen, is a prefecture-level city, provincial capital and I-type city under the jurisdiction of Hebei Province, and is one of the important central cities of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei approved by the State Council. As of 202 1, the city has 8 districts, 1 1 county and 3 county-level cities, with a total area of 14530 square kilometers.
By the end of 2022, the permanent population was11223,500, the urban population was 801790,000, and the urbanization rate was 7 1.44%. Shijiazhuang is located in North China, south-central Hebei Province, Bohai Bay Economic Zone, between 37 27' and 38 47' north latitude and between113 30'-115 20' east longitude. It belongs to temperate monsoon climate.
It is the headquarters of the Army in the Central Theater, and a city approved by the State Council to implement the coastal opening policy and financial opening to the outside world. It is an important commodity distribution center in China, an important commercial port in the north, one of the central cities of national trade exhibition, the permanent meeting place of China International Digital Economy Expo and a part of China (Hebei) Pilot Free Trade Zone.
