Yiwu Shangjing Primary School was founded in 19 13 (Yiwu educational memorabilia). Formerly known as Guoxue, there were only three teachers and 74 students when the school was founded. The school building was three old ancestral temples. After liberation, the people's government took over the school and named it Shangjing Middle School.

In recent years, under the guarantee of hardware construction, the school has improved the supporting facilities. Now it has a student dining room, a playground, a studio, a computer room, a language laboratory, a laboratory, a music room, a calligraphy room, an art room, a skill room, a dance room and a multimedia classroom. There are 70 computers in the school.

The school also installed a full set of closed-circuit television broadcast control system, purchased cameras and various video and audio materials, and the class was equipped with "three machines and one scene" and bookcases. All classrooms in Grade One and Grade Two are equipped with multimedia teaching equipment.

The school insists on taking teaching as the center and actively implements the strategy of "research school". Since September 2002, school teachers have won 35 provincial and national paper awards and published 3 papers in provincial journals. Declare to undertake 2 prefecture-level projects and 5 county-level projects (two of which won the second prize and the third prize of educational and scientific research achievements in Yiwu respectively).

In May, 2005, the construction index of the school's teaching department reached the requirements of qualified teaching departments, and it became the first batch of qualified teaching department schools in Yiwu (35 in the city) after the acceptance and evaluation by the Municipal Education Institute.

The school adheres to the principle of running a school with characteristics. After several years of exploration, "musical characteristics" and "chess characteristics" have basically formed. Among them, in 2005, the players of our school participated in the "Xiuhu Primary School" Cup Children's Chess Competition, and the women's team won the second place and the men's team won the third place.

In April 2006, our school's chess team participated in the first "Young Eagle" Cup Children's Chess Competition and won the third place in the group. Music features have also achieved excellent results and won many awards in city competitions.
