Yunnan Tourism Vocational College is the only public higher vocational college in Yunnan Province approved by the Yunnan Provincial People's Government and filed by the Ministry of Education. The school is located in Kunming, a famous historical and cultural city in China. The school is located at No.268 Longquan Road, Wuhua District, Kunming.
The school is a national key vocational education teacher training base, a China-ASEAN tourism talent education and training base, a national popular science education base and a national tourism vocational education school-enterprise cooperation demonstration base, and won the first batch of "Yunnan Provincial Management Level Improvement Action Plan Vocational College Management 15 Top Demonstration School".

At present, the school has eight secondary colleges, including Hotel Management College, Tourism Management College, Cuisine College, Economic Management College, Culture and Art College, Foreign Languages College, Information Engineering College and Resource Engineering College, as well as three public teaching departments, namely Marxism College, Physical Education Department and Basic Education Department, and 1 Continuing Education College.
There are 43 majors in higher vocational education, such as tour guide, hotel management and digital operation, and study tour.
