2065438+May 2002, our department accepted the task of veterans training and received 25 veterans training for 90 days. In order to do a good job in veterans training, carefully plan and fully prepare, a leading group for veterans training was established, and teachers with high academic qualifications, strong skills and excellent ideological and political skills in the department were mobilized to undertake the training work, and training plans and training methods were formulated. Combining the professional characteristics of our department and considering the characteristics of students' future work, courses such as architectural architecture, drawing, building materials, architectural engineering survey, construction technology, laws and regulations were set up, and students were organized to take the vocational skills post examination, and obtained the post certificates of construction engineer or cost engineer respectively to prepare for their posts. Under the leadership and organization of the college, our department successfully completed the training task. Summarized as follows:?

(1) Adjust students' mentality and enhance their self-confidence. From the army to the local, there are some concerns and worries in thought, thinking that society is more complicated than the army and interpersonal relationships are not easy to handle; Job-hopping means turning advantages into disadvantages, and everything must start from scratch; In the army, the major is single, the work is simple, and there will be an adaptation process when you go to the place. If these psychology are not adjusted in time, it will greatly affect the future work. In the training class, teachers have repeatedly puzzled and guided the students from the aspects of psychological adjustment, meaning of life and daily working methods. Help them have a new understanding of society and work, and make them realize that, subjectively speaking, changing jobs to local jobs is a change of good mentality, that is, from soldiers to ordinary people, from veterans to "recruits." We should have an open mind, correct orientation, willingness and down-to-earth attitude to be a "recruit", study hard, work hard and integrate into new collectives and teams. ?

(2) Students should love their jobs and be dedicated. Educate students to always cherish their jobs, focus on the overall situation, start from small things and be determined to do good things. In the work, we should not only avoid looking down on our superiors, but also guard against losses, correctly understand the relationship between our career and ourselves, start from our own work in a down-to-earth manner, always strengthen the awareness of people's public servants, and truly serve and benefit the people. (3) We should study hard and improve our quality. The cultivation of students focuses on two aspects: one is to strengthen the study of theoretical knowledge.
