Qingdao Institute of Education is a college with a history of more than 30 years. Its main purpose is to train teachers. Its predecessor was "Qingdao Staff Amateur School". In June, 195 1, 1 1, Qingdao Teachers' Amateur School was formally established, aiming at cultivating teachers needed by primary and secondary schools and improving the professional level of in-service teachers in primary and secondary schools. The school offers eight courses: Chinese language and literature, mathematics, history, geography, physics, chemistry, biology and music. The educational system is 2 years, the school enrolls 1.200 students and offers 20 classes. Most of the teachers are professors, associate professors and lecturers of Shandong University, and there are also a few middle school teachers with high professional level. The teaching places are Shandong University and Qingdao No.8 Middle School. 1954 Qingdao Teachers' Amateur School was renamed "Qingdao Normal College" and its campus is located at No.9 Zhejiang Road. According to the requirements of the teaching plan of teachers college, the college systematically trains in-service middle school teachers for 3 years. 1957, the original training course for primary school cadres was merged into the college of continuing education, and the college opened a training course for this purpose (1964 canceled the class), and * * * trained 600 primary school cadres. 1958 The College of Continuing Education established the Teachers' College Department, and enrolled four classes of teachers' colleges, which were divided into arts and sciences. School education lasts for four years and is divided into two parts. It was originally planned to study high school courses in the first two years and junior college courses in the second two years. Due to the shortage of teachers, 1 year students are assigned jobs after completing junior college courses. 1959 Teachers College of Continuing Education enrolled three classes of teachers colleges and established Qingdao Teachers College. 196 1, Qingdao Normal University was abolished, all three normal classes were merged into Qingdao Normal University, and some teachers were merged into Changwei Normal University.
195 1 ~ 1965, Qingdao Teachers' Further Education School * * * received more than 5,000 teachers for further study. In order to speed up the training of teachers, the college has adopted various forms of running schools in recent years, including the combination of single-subject advanced study and systematic advanced study, the combination of analysis of teaching materials and teaching methods with various lectures, the combination of on-the-job advanced study and resignation study, and the combination of training teachers and training cadres. In order to facilitate teachers' study, the College of Continuing Education has set up classes in Sifang, Cangkou, Laoshan and other districts (counties) in addition to teaching in the headquarters. During the Cultural Revolution, the school was slandered as a product of revisionism and was forced to be abolished in 1970.
1977 Qingdao Education Bureau set up a training course for cadres and teachers to meet the needs of middle school education, and then resumed the establishment of "Qingdao Teachers College" on the basis of the training course. 198 1 year, with the approval of Shandong Provincial Department of Education, it was renamed "Qingdao Teachers' Further Education School in Shandong Province", and its campus was moved from No.65438 Guangrao Road +04 1 to No.9 Zhejiang Road. 1983 was renamed "Qingdao Institute of Education".
1987 has 235 faculty members (including professors 1 person, 20 associate professors, 5 lecturers 1 person, 59 teaching assistants, other senior titles1person, 8 intermediate titles, and junior titles 15 people). In the same year, the College of Education offered Chinese, politics, history, geography, music, fine arts, chemistry, physics, English, mathematics, biology, etc. 1 subject, with 2,227 college students (including 778 on-the-job, 509 full-time and 940 taking part in correspondence study) and 69 undergraduate students.
198 1 ~ 1988, the college of education * * trained 322 students1person, and single subject 1927 people, including teaching materials, electronic technology, household appliances, mechanical maintenance, electronic computers, microcomputers and chemical experiments.
