Skoda said in a statement that wire harness production in Ming Rui, Kodiak, Kroc and Speedpost will start in the next few weeks.
According to foreign media reports, Skoda, a brand of Volkswagen Group, will resume the delivery of semi knock down to its Ukrainian production partners.
Skoda announced the first delivery of 80 SKDs, which will be assembled in the factory of its partner Eurocar. The company said: "Whether the output of the Solomonovo plant can be improved will depend on the progress of the situation in Russia and Ukraine."
Eurocar is a car model of Superb, Kodiaq, Karoq and fabia Combi assembled in the local market. After the situation in Russia and Ukraine escalated, the Salomon Wo factory suspended production. Skoda's factories in Nizhny Novgorod and Kaluga are still in a state of suspension.
Recently, Skoda also announced that it will produce its own wiring harness in the Czech factory. Previously, due to the situation in Russia and Ukraine, the supply of harness in Ukraine was affected. Czech wire harness manufacturer PEKM Kabeltechnik installed the necessary production equipment in the assembly workshop provided by Skoda.
The assembly work will be carried out by 35 female employees from PEKM Kabeltechnik, a Ukrainian factory, who will also be responsible for training new employees. Skoda said in a statement that wire harness production in Ming Rui, Kodiak, Kroc and Speedpost will start in the next few weeks.
