The feeling of the guardian

Today, on the first day of New Year's Day, I went to the cinema to watch The Little Door God. Say something. There's a spoiler.

This story is actually a bit ridiculous. The two door gods created by the screenwriter are actually to protect the Nian beast sealed by the old man. However, due to the modernization of the human world, the traditional immortals are gradually forgotten and heaven is left out in the cold. So there is a keeper who wants to find a sense of existence. After hearing the story of Nian, he decided to unlock the seal and release Nian beast, so that he could be useful.

First of all, I want to criticize this screenwriter. This story is like a policeman who let the thief out of prison in order to catch him. The policeman who let the thief out in order to catch the thief was not discouraged by his brother's words at first, nor was he strongly obstructed and saved by his heart when he opened the first and second seals. On the contrary, he was discouraged by his brother's words at the last minute. This process didn't see much struggle, so it passed quietly, just like when the thief stole the needle for the first time, someone said, "It's not good to steal." The thief ignored it and continued to steal. Then when stealing gold, someone said, "Stealing is not good."

You watched this for a long time before you showed it to me? ! So why did the last sentence stop? ! Why didn't this sentence work in the first place? !

Then, this film has obvious intention to explain the decline of traditional culture in modern society. From being forced to accept "re-employment training" or even "laid off" because of not worshiping immortals, to inheriting the difficult business situation of a century-old wonton shop. The decline of this kind of thing will cause people's loss and pity. Will this be transformed into a driving force for inheriting and carrying forward traditional culture? Personally, I don't know.

Culture should meet the needs of the times. We need to dress, so we have a clothing culture; We need to eat, so we have a food culture; Need to live, have architectural culture. All cultures come from life, and what life needs will naturally produce corresponding cultures.

Modern society is a fast-developing society, with fast alternation of generations and fast pace of life, so it also produces a series of fast-paced cultural characteristics: fast food, assembly line, minimalism and so on.

Although our traditional culture is not immutable, due to the slow development of society, it is easy to produce such things as "century-old inheritance" or even "thousand-year inheritance" "unchanged" for a hundred years and a thousand years is a kind of persistence, but it also means singleness and obsolescence. In the rapidly changing modern times, our needs are constantly changing, and more and more things will be eliminated and abandoned.

In Little Door God, the traditional camp and the modern camp are antagonistic, while the villains are both "modern" camps. For example, night gods, wealth gods, door gods and land gods; For example, fast food restaurants and wonton shops. There is an obvious intention to belittle modernization and raise traditional culture in the film. In my opinion, this is not a good thing, but it does reflect part of the status quo of our society. Tradition and modernity collide with each other, but how to deal with it, go dark or blend with each other? Our society did not give a good answer, but the director and screenwriter of this film gave a "change" answer, but failed to elaborate a good method. Wonton restaurant changed the recipe of century-old soup to restore prosperity, and the two door gods even learned the way of human entrepreneurship to open a snack bar in heaven. What do these mean? If we just compare heaven to another society, OK, it's really no big deal for the door gods to switch to selling snacks. However, the significance of the door gods and heaven in this film is not just another society. Can traditional culture simply switch to selling snacks?

It seems unscientific to ask a movie to be so tall. But please don't accept porcelain work without Jin Gangzuan. Such a problem that the whole society is struggling with, if there is really no insight, don't give such a blunt answer to selling snacks. Anticlimactic is a taboo.

Generally speaking, this is a medium-sized film with good technology and some depth but an anticlimactic story. Speaking of conscience or conscience. You can still see it if you like.
