Wenzhou University School of International Cooperation was established in 2006. Running a school according to the mode of "macro-management and self-management", it undertakes the research, development and implementation tasks of Wenzhou University's international cooperative education projects, the construction and management tasks of overseas students' education and study abroad preparation bases, and the preparation tasks of overseas Chinese education bases and Confucius Institutes.

As a platform for Wenzhou University's foreign cooperation and exchange, the College actively introduces foreign high-quality educational resources and develops degree education programs that meet the needs of Wenzhou's economic and social development and the reality of the school. The college has established friendly relations with many foreign universities such as the United States, Britain, Canada, Japan, Singapore, Australia and Thailand, and actively carried out educational exchanges and cooperation. At present, it has successfully cooperated with Cook University in the United States to carry out the Sino-US cooperative Cook Project (formerly known as Ouzhuang College), cooperated with Ken University in the United States to carry out the 2+2 double bachelor's degree program in management, jointly established the Confucius Institute at Oriental University in Thailand with Oriental University and Wenzhou Medical College, and jointly established Lawrence computer application technology with Lawrence University of Technology in the United States.

The College actively develops the education for international students, offering Chinese training courses, one-year training courses for China trade talents, and undergraduate majors in international economics and trade economics. Successfully recruited and trained international students from Ghana, Pakistan, Kenya, Mauritius, Japan, South Korea, Thailand and the United States, and strived to establish an academic education base for international students in Wenzhou University.
