The lotus in the lake is slim and graceful, snuggling up to those green and round lotus leaves. They are more beautiful in the sun. According to the information there, this beautiful moonlight on the lotus pond was built to commemorate Moonlight on the Lotus Pond written by Mr. Zhu Ziqing when he was teaching in Tsinghua University. Continue to go inside, I came to the foot of the second teaching building. Walking into the teaching building, I saw four calligraphy words "self-improvement" hanging on the wall. The classroom is on the second floor. The corridor was quiet, as if you could hear the sound of a needle falling to the ground. As soon as I entered the school gate, the school was as fresh and cool as a garden. I heard birds chirping in my left ear and students reading in my right ear. Being here is like being in heaven. We visited Tsinghua University. We entered the west gate, and there were two stone lions squatting on the left and right sides of the gate, which looked very imposing. I think this may mean that people should work hard step by step and climb up step by step. The word "Tsinghua University" is spelled with a stone bar just above the school gate, and a bronze medal with the words "Tsinghua Campus" is nailed to the left pillar.
When I entered the gate, I was shocked by the scenery in front of me: unobstructed roads, green grass and tall buildings. "What is this Tsinghua University? This pure essence is the street. " I muttered as I walked. "The National People's Congress is as big as Tsinghua, unlike your school, you can visit it in less than ten minutes." My mother said to me as she walked. Say, we came to the stone map of Tsinghua University, only to know at a glance, I feel a big place, which originally only occupied a small part of Tsinghua.
When I passed a piece of green grass, I inadvertently turned my eyes to the left, only to see a big stone with the words "Three Gorges Stone" written in green paint, and a marble engraved with the origin of the Three Gorges Stone. I ran to have a look, only to know that the Three Gorges Stone was the cornerstone of the Three Gorges after the water in the Three Gorges was drained and placed at the bottom of the river, just in time for Tsinghua's 93rd anniversary celebration, and was given to Tsinghua. We walked on and came to a pond. The water is covered with huge green disks. On closer inspection, it turned out to be a green lotus leaf with only a little pink flower bone on it. I can't help exclaiming, "What a beautiful scenery!" My mother told me that this is the pond where Zhu Ziqing wrote Moonlight on the Lotus Pond. As soon as I listened to Moonlight on the Lotus Pond, I couldn't help thinking of a sentence in this article: "There is running water under the leaves, and I can't see some colors, but the leaves are more windy." Such a beautiful scenery with such beautiful poems is really refreshing.
Later, we also saw a stone tablet near the Spring Garden, from which I learned more about Tsinghua University: Tsinghua University's predecessor was Tsinghua School, which was a preparatory school for studying in the United States set up by the Qing government in 19 1 1 with part of the "boxer indemnity" returned by the American government. After the Revolution of 1911, it was renamed Tsinghua University. The campus covers an area of 329 hectares (nearly 5,000 mu) with a building area of1180,000 square meters.
