Types of national civil servant training
There are four kinds of national civil servant training: initial training (training for newly hired personnel), on-the-job training for promotion to leadership positions, specialized business training and on-the-job training (training for updating knowledge).

According to the Civil Servant Law, the types of civil servant training include initial training, on-the-job training, specialized business training and on-the-job training. The initial training aims at improving the ability of newly recruited civil servants to adapt to the work of the organs. The initial training shall be completed within the probation period, and the time shall not be less than 12 days.

On-the-job training is a kind of training for civil servants who have been promoted to positions, aiming at improving their leadership ability. On-the-job training should be conducted before or within one year after taking office. In principle, the training time for civil servants who hold deputy leadership positions at or above the county level shall not be less than 30 days; The training time for civil servants who hold township-level leadership positions is not less than 15 days. In principle, the training time for civil servants who are transferred to organs, promoted to deputy researcher or above and other non-leadership positions in the same position shall not be less than 30 days.

Specialized business training is professional knowledge and skills training according to the needs of civil servants engaged in special work. On-the-job training is the training for all civil servants to update their knowledge and improve their working ability.

Civil servants refer to people who exercise state administrative functions and perform state official duties in government organs at all levels. According to the "Provisional Regulations on National Civil Servants", China's national civil servants refer to the staff in state administrative organs at all levels except ground staff (including full-time staff engaged in party committees in state administrative organs, such as full-time deputy secretaries of party committees in personnel departments).
