Operation steps and experience of lighting designer
As a lighting designer, my job is to combine lighting and space perfectly to create amazing visual effects. Below I will share some of my operating steps and experiences in the design process.

Understand the space

Before designing lamps, we need to know the purpose and style of space. For example, restaurants need a warm and comfortable atmosphere, and offices need bright and concentrated light. We need to consider the size, height, shape and material of the space in order to customize the lamps for it.

Select the type of lamp.

According to the demand of space, you can choose different types of lamps, such as chandeliers, wall lamps and table lamps. When choosing lamps, we need to consider the shape, size, color, material and lighting effect of lamps.

Design lighting layout

When designing the layout of lamps, we need to consider the position, height and quantity of lamps. For example, in a large space, we need to arrange multiple lamps to ensure that the whole space can be fully illuminated. In a narrow space, we can choose a central lamp to provide overall lighting.

Adjust the lighting effect

After installing lamps, we need to adjust the lighting effect to ensure that they are perfectly integrated with the space. We can use different tools such as bulbs, lampshades and dimmers to adjust the brightness, color temperature and color of light. We need to ensure that the lighting effect conforms to the purpose and style of the space, and at the same time provide enough lighting.
