The majors of each department are as follows-

Conservatory of Music: composition and composition technology theory, music performance, musicology (major, normal school)

Academy of Fine Arts: Painting

College of Art and Design: Direction of Art Management and Management of Cultural Industry

Theatre Academy: drama, film and television literature, director, performance, drama, film and television art design, drama, broadcasting and hosting, costume design, advertising model performance.

Dance Academy: Dance Science, Dance Performance and Dance Theory.

Film and Television College: Director, Photography

College of Art and Culture: public utility management, (art management direction), cultural industry management.

Yunnan Art Institute, referred to as "Yi Yun", is located in Kunming, the spring city. It is a comprehensive art college in southwest China and one of the six major art colleges in China. The college was established in 1959. 1963, Yunnan Art College was revoked and transferred to the Art Department of Kunming Normal University. 1980 Yunnan Art College officially separated from Kunming Normal University and became an independent school-running institution.
