Zhejiang Economic Vocational and Technical College is a full-time provincial public higher vocational college, formerly known as Zhejiang Material School. Founded in 1978, it was upgraded to a higher vocational college in 2000 and formally established in June 2002. At present, the campus covers an area of 576.5 mu, with a building area of 269,600 square meters, more than 8,600 students and a total collection of 6,543,800 books. Yang Shuzi, an academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, served as honorary president of the college.
The College is the UNESCO International Vocational Education and Training Liaison Center, the first batch of national outstanding backbone vocational colleges, the first batch of educational informatization pilot units of the Ministry of Education, the host unit of the E-commerce teaching resource database project of the Ministry of Education, and the first batch of four-year vocational training pilot colleges in Zhejiang Province. It has 2 first prizes for national teaching achievements, 2 second prizes for 1 item and 2 first prizes for provincial teaching achievements. He has successively won the national advanced vocational education unit, the special prize of outstanding achievements in campus culture construction of colleges and universities of the Ministry of Education, the national advanced collective for employment of college graduates, and the national home of model workers.

The college has seven secondary colleges, including logistics technology, automobile technology, digital information technology, management technology, trade and circulation, accounting and finance, culture and art, and offers 29 majors, including more than 0/00 training rooms on campus and more than 220 off-campus training bases, including 3 training bases supported by the central government and 6 majors supported by the central government. There are 28 excellent courses at or above the provincial level and 7 courses for national excellent resources. We have a strong team of full-time and part-time teachers, and the proportion of double-qualified full-time teachers exceeds 85%. Nearly 40% of teachers have associate senior titles or above, and a large number of part-time teachers come from the world's top 500 industries.
The College has a strong industrial background and the support of leading groups in the industry, and has a close cooperative relationship with Zhong Da Group, a fortune 500 enterprise in the world. Zhong Da Products Group has set up an R&D center, a training center and a talent training center in the college, implemented a product demonstrator training plan, and set up a product demonstrator scholarship. The Property Management College of the Enterprise University was established, and the dual-track operation mechanism of "two brands and one team" was implemented with the college to provide regular, customized and qualitative training services for more than 20,000 employees of Zhong Da Group in property and other government agencies, industries and enterprises.
The college pays attention to the cooperation with international high-quality higher vocational education brands, cooperates with Singapore Institute of Management Development and Glasgow City College, and offers Chinese-foreign cooperative majors such as hotel management, international trade and logistics management, and recruits international students to our college for further study. Established China Poetry Culture College and China Poetry Education Promotion Center in cooperation with China Poetry Society. The College is the only member of the Steering Committee for Cultural Quality Education of the Ministry of Education, the vice chairman of the Steering Committee for Cultural Quality Education of Vocational Colleges of the Ministry of Education, the vice chairman of the National Cooperative Association for Cultural Quality Education of Higher Vocational Colleges, and the "Zhejiang Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritance Teaching Base". In the past ten years, the enrollment scores of liberal arts and sciences have been among the highest in similar higher vocational colleges in the province, and the employment rate has remained above 98% for ten consecutive years.
