Shanghai Ocean University, formerly known as Jiangsu Fisheries School, was established in 19 12. 1952, Shanghai Fisheries became the first undergraduate fisheries university in China.
1985 was renamed as Shanghai Fisheries University, and was renamed as Shanghai Ocean University with the approval of the Ministry of Education in 2008. This school was originally a university under the Ministry of Agriculture. Since 2000, the Ministry of Agriculture and Shanghai * * * have implemented territorial management. The school motto is "Diligence, Simplicity and Faithfulness".
Shanghai Ocean University is a multidisciplinary university featuring marine, aquatic products and food disciplines, with a complete education system and numerous disciplines, and the coordinated development of agriculture, science, engineering, economics, literature and management.
The school has eight professional colleges, including Fisheries and Life College, Ocean Science College, Food College, school of economics and management College, Information College, Humanities College, Engineering College and Foreign Languages College. There is Ai En College, which is a cooperative school between our school and Australia. There are three colleges, including International Cultural Exchange College, Adult Education College and Higher Vocational Education College. It has the Central Agricultural Cadre Education and Training Center, Shanghai Ocean University Branch and the Marine Fisheries Training Center of the Ministry of Agriculture.
The school has more than 200 faculty members/kloc-0, including more than 800 teaching and research personnel, more than 490 senior professional and technical positions, and more than 450 doctoral supervisors and master supervisors. There are 26 national-level talents, 26 provincial-level talents 173, 2 members of the evaluation group of the seventh discipline in the State Council, 57 people enjoying special allowances from the State Council, and 10 post scientist of the modern agricultural industrial technology system of the Ministry of Agriculture.
