What's the experience of taking IELTS in Vietnam?

Recently, IELTS in Southeast Asia has become a market with special needs for tourism and exams. After reading all kinds of raiders, I decided to sign up for the Hanoi exam on 6. 17 with my friends and take an ordinary A-level academic exam. What is the score goal? In fact, I don't have a specific goal, of course, the higher the better. I took the exam twice in China, the first time was February15,7, and the second time was February15,6.5. Therefore, my inner expectation for this exam is 7.5, especially writing, kneeling for the rhythm of 7+, but my level is still 7+.

Now I will share with you my review (eating, drinking and having fun) and this exam, and the difference between the Asia-Pacific examination area and the mainland examination area. Finally, it is my own learning experience, hoping to give some help to friends who plan to go to Southeast Asia in the future.

1. visa+air ticket+hotel+transportation

With a visa, Taobao has it! You don't need a physical visa, just scan the certificate and add an electronic photo. It won't take more than a week to send it back. You can put it in your passport when you go through customs. Super convenient, no inconvenience in the whole process, as long as you don't lose it! ! ! We didn't tip the customs, and neither will the customs! I asked you for it. I don't know where it came from It is said that the customs took bribes. Little fairies can rest assured ~ ~ ~

Air ticket, we leave from Tianjin. For the sake of cheapness, we chose Hong Kong Airlines. /kloc-depart from Tianjin at 7: 30 am on June 6, 0/5, and transfer in Hong Kong. We arrived in Vietnam at 6: 30 pm, and the return flight also stopped in Hong Kong for 8 hours at 7: 30 am. Everyone should pay attention to the fact that online comments are almost never on time. We are two hours late. . . . .

The hotel was booked all the way. The competition level in Hanoi is relatively poor. It is a paradise for Europeans and Americans, and the public security is relatively good. Yeichi didn't rob online. But as a student and a girl, my advice is to stay in a star-rated hotel in the city center all the time. The service of the first lady in Vietnam is so intimate that you want to take a few home, book a taxi for you and contact the travel agency for you. . . We made a reservation at primer gallery Hotel, a local Vietnamese restaurant. The price per night is 400 yuan RMB.

In terms of transportation, ha noi Center is really small, usually around 36th Street, but the location of IELTS test should be considered! ! ! ! ! First of all, you usually have to register at the idp office in Hanoi one day in advance. Although the office looks fake, I still have to go and see it and register with peace of mind. Second, written English and spoken English are not the same place! ! ! Attention! ! ! Be sure to see it clearly! ! ! When we met our colleagues at the airport, they didn't notice their different positions. Most people's written test place is Ocean Park Building, and the test address is on the third floor of this office building, which is a big conference hall ~~ ~ near 100 people take the test at the same time ~ ~ The magic thing is that pencils are real pencils, just like the pencils of China 10 years ago, which need to be replaced with examiners at any time.

Now, let's talk about the process. When you arrive, go and deposit your bag first. The staff will give you a card like China people, and then receive the video. Note ~ ~ Because there is no admission ticket, the staff will tell you what the admission ticket number is after collecting the video. The digital dictation here is just a simple preheating. Listen carefully! ! ! ! ! !

After the exam, tear off your little admission ticket and type it on the table, and then you can take a taxi to the place where the oral exam is held ~ ~ It's called No.33 NHAYong, which is also the preparation room on the second floor. Just wait for the call. The examiner's words = mainly the elderly. I met four examiners. One of the two older examiners looks like Gandalf. English people speak slowly and clearly, but! Super love to interrupt, hey. . . Heart tired. . . . Most of the remaining male examiners are British, and the fatter ones are Americans. . . Finish the task after the oral exam ~ ~

You can take a taxi. Leaving from 36th Street usually looks like 650,000 Vietnamese dong. Is it rich? ~ ~ But if you take a taxi, you'd better call a taxi at the hotel. If we choose a green taxi on the road, we will encounter all kinds of detours from drivers. After the written test, it takes about 400,000 VND to take a taxi back to the lecture site. Daily toll 1 ten thousand.

2. This is the academic part. I have some ideas about preparing for IELTS and finishing IELTS this time.

For listening and reading, in fact, where to test these two parts, we must have a solid foundation. There is no difference between domestic and foreign examination areas. I finished reading Jian 12 before the exam. Judging from the difficulty and type of questions, there are many tricks that make you wrong. The so-called examination skills will gradually find that they are not easy to use. Now IELTS pays more attention to language skills and the ability to quickly locate substitute words and analyze sentence structure. It turns out that when I did real questions before building 10, I almost got 7 points by routine and skill, but after building 1 10, I will find some unconventional questions, the difficulty and the breadth and depth of the article are extending, such as 6. 17. The third part examines the development of society and literature and criticizes literature. Even if I am an English major, I have tons. If you listen, you will find that first of all, the speech speed is faster, the number questions in the previous exams almost disappear, and more multiple-choice questions make us vomit blood and cry directly. My own three-year listening test score has been very stable, 7.5. I didn't listen much at first, and I didn't grasp the key points. What's even more irritating is that there are still problems with the spelling of words. For example, I can't write after eating diesel oil, so it's not important to check the spelling! ! ! ! Writing a short composition is really easy to make you hallucinate. 6. 17 prepared all kinds of small compositions in the Asia-Pacific examination area before the exam. The highest frequency is the line graph or dynamic graph. The big composition is also simpler than that in China, and the topics are classified the same, but the topics are more straightforward and easy to understand. Spoken English is not my strong suit. I took the exam naked, just so-so.
