The Law on Work Safety generally refers to the Law on Work Safety in People's Republic of China (PRC). The Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) on Work Safety was adopted at the 28th meeting of the Ninth NPC Standing Committee on June 29th, 2002, and came into force on June 29th, 2002.

Legislative evolution

Adopted by the 28th meeting of the NPC Standing Committee of the 9th National People's Congress on June 29th, 2002, and implemented as of June 29th, 2002. The first revision was made according to the Decision on Amending Some Laws of the 10th Session of the 11th NPC Standing Committee on August 27th, 2009, and it came into effect on August 27th, 2009.

According to the Decision on Amending the Law on Work Safety in People's Republic of China (PRC) adopted at the 10th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 12th NPC on August 365438, 2004, the second amendment came into force on February 365438, 2004.

On June 25, 2020, Li Keqiang, Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, People's Republic of China (PRC) presided over the the State Council executive meeting to determine measures to improve the system of dishonesty and social credit and provide support for the development of the socialist market economy; People's Republic of China (PRC) Law on Work Safety (Revised Draft) was adopted.

On June 8th, 2002/KLOC-0, the Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) on Work Safety (Revised Draft) was submitted to the meeting for deliberation. The draft clarifies the responsibility for production safety in emerging industries and fields such as platform economy, strengthens the supervision and management of production safety, and ensures the safety of employees according to law.

If the responsibilities of safety production supervision and management in emerging industries and fields are not clear, the local people's governments at or above the county level shall determine the supervision and management departments according to the principle of similar business.

2002 1 June 1 day The 29th meeting of the 13th NPC Standing Committee in People's Republic of China (PRC) adopted the Decision of the NPC Standing Committee on Amending the Law on Work Safety in People's Republic of China (PRC), which will take effect on September 1 year.
