Will the sun burn cars in dog days?
Body shell

As a part directly exposed to the sun, the car body is actually the least afraid of the sun. The car body is mainly made of steel plate, aluminum alloy and other materials, and the melting point of iron is 1538℃.

In addition, the body shell is also sprayed with multi-layer paint. The current painting process is very complicated and advanced, not only using high-tech raw materials, but also curing at a high temperature of 140- 160℃ after spraying, so there is not much sun to bask in, and even the paint will not get sunburned.

However, a long time will accelerate the aging of car paint, thus causing the problem of fading, and the color will gradually dim.

Automobile glass

Glass is an amorphous material with no fixed melting point. When the temperature reaches 600-800℃, the glass will become soft, and as the temperature continues to rise, the glass will gradually become a flowable state.

So it can be seen that glass can't melt in the sun, but some riders may say that glass also has the characteristics of thermal expansion and cold contraction. Will it crack in the sun?

In fact, glass manufacturers have long considered this. Normal exposure can't crack the glass, but it's worth noting that glass should never be watered with low-temperature water after exposure. Due to the principle of thermal expansion and cold contraction, glass may burst.

tyre

Although the manufacturing technology of tires has made great progress, most tires are added with carbon, but the main material of tires is still rubber.

After a long period of sun and rain, it will inevitably age, crack and fall off, but riders don't have to worry too much. The aging of tires does not mean that they can't be used after a few days of exposure, and the aging speed is still very slow.

But like glass, you can't use cold water to cool down, otherwise it will accelerate tire aging sharply.

Interior decoration

Everyone knows that the temperature inside the car will be horribly high after exposure, especially for cars with black interiors, and the temperature can even reach more than 80 degrees. In this regard, someone specially tested the temperature inside the car.

Generally speaking, the temperature inside the car can reach 50℃ after 30 minutes of exposure in summer.

The highest temperature on the dashboard surface can even reach 85℃. This temperature will accelerate the aging of all rubber products and leather.
