There is a common misunderstanding about NAT, so that NAT does not appear in IPv6 and is misunderstood as the number one security risk. It may be good to have NAT in IPv6 environment, but in fact, they don't provide any extra security. Firewalls provide security, not network address translation.

It is very dangerous to think that IPv6 security is not just a simple clone of IPv4 security. We must arrange training, expand policies and deploy new technologies in the network to resist new threats. The transition from homogeneous IPv4 network to heterogeneous IPv4/v6 network brings new traffic types and equipment, which enterprises must reconsider.

In addition, because IPv6 is relatively new, the market has just begun and the security products are not mature enough. This is an interesting and dangerous period before the security around IPv6 is improved, and before the operators make IPv6 and IPv4 equal.
