Chongqing Institute of Education is a public institution of higher learning that serves the needs of basic education and economic and social development, focusing on literature, science, teaching and management. College was established in 1954, with a long history and distinctive features. Since the end of the last century, Chongqing Municipal Education Commission has successively set up Chongqing Continuing Education Center for Primary and Secondary School Teachers, Chongqing Education Management Cadre Training Center, Chongqing Inspector Training Center, Chongqing Foreign Language Training Center for Primary and Secondary School Teachers, Chongqing Teacher Qualification Guidance Center, Chongqing National General Language Training and Testing Base, Chongqing National Putonghua Level Intelligent Testing Base, Chongqing Municipal Training Base for Primary and Secondary School Teachers and Chongqing Secondary Vocational School Teacher Training Base, making our college a primary and secondary school teacher education base in Chongqing. Our institute was jointly awarded the "Chongqing Service Outsourcing Talent Training Base" by the Municipal Foreign Economic and Trade Commission and the Municipal Education Commission, and became one of the first 20 units in the city to obtain the qualification of service outsourcing talent training.

The college has two campuses, Nanshan and Xuefu, covering an area of 66 1 mu. Xuefu Campus is located in front of Xuefu Avenue on the south bank of Chongqing, close to the beautiful western foot of Nanshan and the Nanping Chongqing Economic and Technological Development Zone. Nanshan Campus is located in Huangjueya Street, Nanshan, surrounded by Nanshan Scenic Area where flowers and trees are abundant. Both campuses are built on mountains, with trees and trees, distinct layers and patchwork.

The college now has two secondary colleges, namely, continuing education college and preschool education college, and nine departments, including literature and media department, foreign language and literature department, fine arts department, business administration department, tourism department, computer department, biological and chemical engineering department, economy and trade department and general education department. At present, there are 35 majors, covering 9 categories, which basically form two major professional groups: teachers who serve basic education and applications who serve the tertiary industry. There are more than 7,000 students, 470 professional technicians, 43 senior titles and 33 deputy senior titles/kloc-0. 37.44% are professional titles above deputy high school; There are 28 doctors and 309 masters, accounting for 7 1.70%.

The college has continuously increased its investment and strived to improve the conditions for running schools. The teaching building, experimental building, art building, library and student apartment have a building area of 260,000 square meters, and the library has more than 730,000 books, with 4/kloc-0 dedicated experimental training rooms. It has established/kloc-0 internship and training bases in primary and secondary schools and enterprises in the city, and has established extensive and close school-enterprise cooperation relations with many industries and enterprises inside and outside the city. In recent years, the college has vigorously promoted the modernization of education, invested tens of millions of yuan, and built various professional modernization demonstration laboratories, campus networks connected to the Internet, electronic reading rooms, electronic retrieval systems in libraries, foreign language FM radio stations, and a number of computer centers and multimedia classrooms for teachers and students. As one of the national "cultural quality training bases for college students", our college has extensively carried out a variety of teaching activities and extracurricular activities in culture, art, sports, modern information technology and so on, and students have won the first and second prizes in national competitions for many times.
