Professor Jiang Liangfu is from Zhaotong, Yunnan. His father used to be the principal of Zhaotong Middle School, a provincial high school, and came from a cultural family. Professor Jiang graduated from Tsinghua University and studied under Wang Guowei, Liang Qichao and Chen Yinque. After a lifetime of research, he became a famous scholar in Chuci, Dunhuang studies, historical philology and language phonology.
Professor Jiang studied in Europe in 1930s and taught in universities in Jinan, Fudan, Daxia, Henan, Northeast China and other places. At Yunnan University, he served as the dean of law school.
1September 9, 945, the Kuomintang government led the suppression of the democratic movement in Yunnan, which was called "the whole bunch of 99" in history. Wang Zheng, the backbone of the Kuomintang who later served as the director of the provincial education department (a native of Yunnan who studied in the United States), saw that the Kuomintang regime was about to collapse and his family fled to the United States. When the post of Director of Education Department became vacant, Governor Lu Han appointed Jiang Liangfu to replace him. Three months later, Lu Han announced the uprising, and set up a provincial temporary military and political committee, with Jiang Liangfu as the director of the culture and education department of the committee. Since President Xiong Qinglai didn't come back from abroad, Lu Han appointed Professor Jiang Liangfu as the director of the school committee of Yunnan University.
1950, as a well-known professor, Professor Jiang, who only served as the director of education for three months, also lost his job. His wife, Tao Qiuying, has applied to teach in a university in this province. Later, Peking University and Zhejiang University wrote to invite Professor Jiang to teach, but for some reason, Professor Jiang was forbidden to leave the province.
Because of Professor Jiang's prominent academic position, his father taught him as a disciple and called him a "teacher". I met him once or twice and called him "Mr. Tai".
1954 At the beginning of the year, Professor Li Dejia led Professor Jiang to the general office of the provincial government, and asked me to report to Governor Guo Yingqiu and approved Professor Jiang to teach in the province. These two professors don't understand that it is impossible for me, a junior cadre, to talk to the governor. Moreover, it is said that Professor Jiang teaches at Yingshi University, and some people say that he also served as the dean, provost or dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. Yingshi University is a university founded by Chen and Chen Lifu, brothers of the Kuomintang Rightists, in memory of their uncle Chen. Besides, Professor Jiang served as the Director of Education for three months after the "99-99 Project". So I guess there are some "political" reasons why Professor Jiang can't leave this province.
According to the above situation, I have to inform Professor Jiang and ask him to write a written application, which will be forwarded to Governor Guo by the Director of the Secretariat, the Director of the General Office and the Secretary-General for instructions. I told Professor Jiang not to talk about his acquaintance with my father, and I also told Professor Li Degu not to talk about the family relationship between Li and Ma. The two professors knew that I was a small cadre and agreed.
A few days later, Jiang Liangfu handed me his application and I handed it in. After a period of time, I learned that this application was forwarded layer by layer and reached Governor Guo.
After a long time, without the approval of Governor Guo, two professors came to ask me for the results again, and it was difficult for me to reply. At this time, Professor Li Dejia said to me in front of Professor Jiang: "Laojiang is subject to the' three courts'." The so-called "three halls" refers to the fact that during Professor Jiang's teaching in Yunnan University, three influential figures held a grudge against him and spread the idea that Professor Jiang had a special relationship with the Kuomintang. Because there is no basis for the "joint trial of the three courts", even if there is evidence, involving heavyweights, I dare not reflect it upward.
After a while, Lu Han's secretary Ma came to Kunming from Beijing. Ma Huazi's father and my grandfather know a little about each other. Because of this relationship, my name is Ma "uncle horse". One day, I met a horse by chance. When chatting, I asked Ma if there were any political problems in Professor Jiang's history. Ma said that Lu Han wanted to rebel and was appointed director of the Education Department, which was the first step to prevent the Kuomintang Central Committee from sending confidants to master Yunnan's education administration, so as not to bring trouble to the uprising. Jiang Liangfu has been a scholar all his life and has nothing to do with the two parties. His appointment is nothing more than that he is a well-known scholar and a fellow countryman of Lu Han. As for his relationship with "CC", it is even more out of thin air.
I boldly reported what Ma said to Professor Jiang to Secretary-General Zhang Zizhai and was criticized. Secretary-General Zhang said that I engaged in non-organizational activities, and I had nothing to say, so I had to put up with it. However, I think Secretary-General Zhang has a dilemma in criticizing me, that is, he has to keep his mouth shut.
At that time, I thought to myself, whether Professor Jiang is a well-known scholar or not, if he is the backbone of the Kuomintang and opposes the China * * * production party, but he took part in the uprising, he should also "let bygones be bygones" according to the party's policy. But my job is letters and visits. The insurgents have suffered a lot and don't want to say anything more.

1926, Jiang Liangfu, who later became a leading figure in the academic field, was really excited to be admitted to the Chinese Department of Beijing Normal University from Chengshi Normal University. However, less than two months after Jiang Liangfu entered Beijing Normal University, he heard that Tsinghua University was better, and he came up with the idea of taking an examination of Tsinghua. A classmate told him that the exam in Tsinghua was very difficult, and it was already 10, which was earlier than the date of the exam in Tsinghua. Jiang Liangfu thinks, since Tsinghua is not on the list, why not give it a try? So he wrote a letter to Liang Qichao, a great scholar who was a professor in Tsinghua at that time, saying that he wanted to study in Tsinghua, but he didn't have time to sign up for the exam because he knew the news was late. I wonder if I can give him a chance to make up the exam?
I am writing with a try, so Jiang Liangfu doesn't hold out much hope. A few days later, he unexpectedly received a notice from the Tsinghua Academic Affairs Office asking him to go for an interview. That day, he came to Tsinghua according to the contract. Unexpectedly, it was Mr Liang Qichao who met him. This made him overjoyed. After sitting down, Teacher Liang learned more about Jiang's reading. Then say, now let you make up the exam. Please write an article on Shu studies. Immediately, Jiang wrote a 2000-word article at the appointed time. After reading it on the spot, Mr. Liang said to Jiang, "Your article shows that you were a hard worker when you were studying in Sichuan. You have carefully read many books by the old Sichuan gentleman, and the articles are very interesting. " After some conversation, it was nearly morning 1 1. Mr. Liang said to Jiang, you should have a rest first, and someone will take you to lunch later, and then have a rest after dinner, and then go to take an examination of Mr. Wang Jing 'an's class. Wang Jingan is Wang Guowei. Jiang Liangfu was excited and a little nervous at this time. I am excited that I can accept the exams of great scholars Liang Qichao and Wang Guowei today. I don't know if I can get in, especially if I'm going to take Mr. Wang Guowei's exam soon. Wang's understanding belongs to another way, which is more partial.
Sure enough, at the beginning of the afternoon exam, the unsmiling teacher Wang told me that all my questions were "primary school" (that is, philology). After getting the test paper, Jiang Liangfu quickly overcame his nervousness. In his words, "Before that, I had read Mr. Taiyan's Zhang series repeatedly and had some experience, so I didn't answer many questions that Mr. Jing 'an asked me wrong, but they were all family members. "After handing in the paper, Mr. Wang read it and couldn't help asking if Jiang was a student of Mr. Zhang Taiyan. Jiang answeredno. Mr. Wang was surprised at first, then his face lit up and he got up and went to the office next door. Because there are only partitions, the sound is very clear. Jiang Liangfu later learned that Mr. Wang asked his assistant Zhao Wanli to "tell Mr. Ren Gong (Liang Qichao) that I think student Jiang Liangfu can (record) it." However, Mr. Liang did not immediately make a statement. He came over to Jiang and said, since the exam is over, go back and listen to the news. After that, Jiang Liangfu anxiously waited for Tsinghua's phone call two days later, and asked him to prepare the pen and ink for the second interview.
The second interview was a bit unexpected for Jiang Liangfu, which was basically common sense. This is his weakness. For example, there is a title "Write the names of eighteen arhats". As a result, Jiang Liangfu couldn't write anything. There is also a topic called writing more than 20 prescribed place names, and as a result, Jiang only wrote 16. In addition, other things such as Chinese studies, philosophy, and the history of thought, Jiangdu answered with confidence. Finally, he was admitted.
At this time, Mr. Liang told him, "You have to say that you are lucky this time, because the two of us didn't come and have already gone to America, so we grabbed the first place from you." Jiang Liangfu later became a major figure in academic circles. It should be said that he deeply remembered Mr. Liang's earnest words.
