Information security level assessors and network security level assessors are different. Information security engineers and network information security engineers are different in certificate types, examination contents and examiners, and belong to two types of examinations.

1, information security engineer belongs to one of the intermediate examination items of computer technology and software professional technical qualification (level) examination (soft examination), which is a national examination under the leadership of Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Its purpose is to scientifically and fairly test the professional qualifications, professional technical qualifications and professional technical level of computer and software professionals in China.

2. Network information security engineer is a senior vocational education project of network information security engineer initiated by the Electronic Education Examination Center of the Ministry of Information Industry. Its goal is to train information security engineers with both ability and political integrity, both offensive and defensive, who can engage in information security service, operation and maintenance and management in administrative departments, enterprises and institutions, network companies, information centers and Internet access units at all levels.
